That's so not ok to accuse someone of such a serious offense without proof.

Does Disney have an antidrug policy?? We found it quite amusing that they wanted hubby to pee in a cup for a measly seasonal Target job.

ummm he doesn't pee, can ya draw blood?

That threw them, they couldn't just draw it without permission from his doc. it turned into this big messy thing involving phone call tag, faxes, letters and finally hubby walked away and decided not to work there. Too much owrk to prove that he wasn't a drug addict.. except for his doctor approved ones.

our union contract forbids them to do random drug testing...

The manager claims i had some white powdery substance coming out of my nose... which i didnt really see any.
They took me off my cart, both managers were talking saying he say the white substance and said if i had anything to admit. I dont do drugs so i was like uhhh NO. Then he goes on about ohh, its better to admit it now, Disney offers great programs to help this type of people( trying VERY hard to avoid the word drugs) Also told me getting caught, would be worse than admitting. My other manager who knows me since last December said she just couldnt imagine me doing drugs, im just not that type of person. Then the newer manager said uhh, we can probably take you to CFA and give you a drug test. I flat out said, okay lets go! but he quickly changed to like ohh the next time... I flat out told him i got nothing to hide, bring it on! The last thing he said was if your ready to talk about it, were here for you anytime any day. Then he kinda drift about saying i shouldnt tell anyone but hell, i dont care, i got nothing to hide!

i couldnt believe it... accused of using drugs... :\

Which is why I started working preschool. Take care and snuggle em.. and at night send them home to their parents. Cheap easy fix for the baby lust

But how will I get dh over the baby blues? He is a bigger baby freak then I am! Everytime he sees a baby, he's like.. gimme, gimme... Oh.. i felt so bad for him the other day. We were talking about the kids growing up... and he got so misty eyed. Then yelled at me to shut the hell up.

Every job I have ever worked at has had drug tests. The one that got me was working for a Tribal Casino... Drug Tests, background checks, 10 year job history... mind you I was 18! Plus fingerprinting. Of course it was to work with millions of $ in cash... Filthy stuff... got pink eye twice.

Today is my every 6 month checkup with my oncologist (chemo/cancer doctor). I just hate going there. I even get near that office and it reminds me of chemo and I feel like throwing up! Then I have to sit in a waiting room full of people that are dying. I know I should be happy to be alive, but still it's just a reminder that cancer is in my life forever! Actually all I have to do is drive down that stretch of I-5 and I feel nauseated. Of course I do always laugh when I pass the Hooters Restaurant on the way there. Anyone up for lunch at Hooter!

DBF thinks its funny that I'm the one who wants to go to Hooters when we are in an area that has one. What can I say I really do love thier hot wings. The Daytona ones are the best!

oooooooooo that would be fun to watch. Yep, my fave mall. Haven't found one that I like here too much yet.

We did like exploring the Galleria at Tyler (reminds us of Rosedale, middle to high income suburbia) , the mall here in MV reminded us of Southdale (first enclosed mall in the US!). The Block at Orange is kinda fun, very odd to us. And we tried the Ontario Mills outlet mall, it didn't feel like an outlet mall (outlets are strip malls in MN) but I like the Sears outlet store there-- cheap!!

Next time you go to Ontario Mills mall go to Dave and Busters. Fun, fun, fun. It's like an adult Chuckie Cheese! Full bar in the middle of the games!

hmmm, ya sounds fishy to me. Seems like the new manager was dancing around the contract rules. Realized he was over reaching and then tells you to hush up.... nice.
White powdery could be anything.. baby powder, powder sugar from a doughnut, flour. Just thinking that he saw the substance is not enough grounds to being accused of drug use.. acting weird on shift, not being on time, being sloppy in your work, stealing money.. those things are enough to send up red flags and offer help to an employee.

I don't get it. Paranoid or some other agenda??

no idea, i was short $3 that day... and i was acting really goofy but thats just the way i am... i had to stand underneath the sun with no shade (due to the wind) so was a little cranky and wacky at the same time... But not to the point of looking like i was high or something.

Total opposite here.. we are both gleefully envisioning our kid free life of the future. It's sad and exciting at the same time, really not that far away. J will be our first little birdy to leave the nest -- less than 8 years away we predict.

Another chain similar but a bit more child friendly during day hours in downtown Minneapolis. Very dead in the day (except for the young executives in shirt and tie blowing off steam with vid games at lunch time), HOPPING at night.

Question for ya... do they take down the Halloween stuff right after Oct 31st?? Then have nothing for a few weeks before they put up the Christmas stuff?

Taking MIL and BIL on Vetran's weekend (Friday), I know they will kick off holiday season a week later than usual.

Partially decorated for Christmas by then... or not until mid week after that?

We peeked in the windows. Went early am, not open yet.. plus had our boys with us (11 and 14).

During the day I think it would be fine to take kids there. It's a resturaunt too. They have specials for like you can order your meal for $15.99 and get a $10 card to play the games with. So your meal is only $5.99. I think they have good food. When we went to the one in San Diego there was a line to get in and they were charging a $5.00 cover charge to get in !! They did give us a card worth $5.00 once inside though. People were dressed up like they were going to a club!
