I really don't know how my family can keep watching this show! My stomach is seriously feeling weird. And I'm only peeking every once in a while.

:scared1:

Would it be easier for her to find a hotel near the airport? Not sure how busy is your local airport (or how far away), I know for LAX I NEED the recommended two hours in order to get thru security. MSP I coud get by with less than an hour if it was a non busy time... but that early on a Monday?? Could mean lots of business people making their way to meetings.:sad2:

hmmm 3 am wake up call???

The airport is about 30 minutes away. Not a big deal, and it's fairly close to where I work, so I'll just go to work early. The Portland Int'l airport is never that busy (except maybe Xmas & Spring break). We always get there 1-1/2 hours early and end up getting through security and checked in in about 15 minutes. I think as long as I get them there by 5am they should be fine.

You'll try anything once??????? How about this one.................. he just tried a heart from a frog that was still beating. Yes you heard me right!!!! They took it out of an alive frog, and then he immediately ate it while it was still beating!!!!!!!!!!!! :faint: I'm sick!!!!!!!!

I would eat a frog heart, but it would have to be cooked! If you dip anything in batter and deep fry it, you can make it tasty!!:thumbsup2

But even in California????????? Because it has to go to MN and back again?????????????????

Our cell phones are the same way - no charges for calls made to other AT&T customers, no matter where you are in the US, or if you are out of your area making calls. My entire family (siblings, parents) have AT&T/Cingular also. We can also call free anywhere evenings/weekends with no roaming charges. Luckily DD's new boyfriend also has AT&T!!!

 I agree with you there. Anything is half way good battered and fried. LOL!!!!! When he put the thing in his mouth, it was flippin up and down on the spoon. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! :sad2:

We have At&T also. I never worry about the bill, cuz I never see it. It's on our business account. So I guess I've never paid attention.
I still live in the olden times you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister just pulled up, so I need to go. TTYL. Hope Eloy gets to feeling better and everything is ok.

Holy cannoli, G! You win, that was way more excitement than a party with 14 children aged 7 and less!

Glad your DH is feeling better and that you were able to hold it together. I woulda been a wreck!

Hello and Welcome Back to Mary Jo!

Pixster, sorry you had a bad reaction to the shrimp dinner. I love shrimp, too, that would be so disappointing!

Dizzy, sorry your connection is so sporadic. We miss you!

Staley, glad you had a lovely anniversary dinner. :goodvibes

And I have to say the "lobster cat" that Sam provided made me laugh out loud! :rotfl2:

And hello to Tinkermell and anyone else I missed! :)

We just wrapped up the round of birthday festivities for DS7. The house is fairly clean, we are worn out and pretty well caked out, and looking for a little relaxation this evening.

For some reason I couldn't fall asleep last night, finally crashed well after midnight, and then woke when the cat jumped on me around 5 a.m. Tossed and turned after that, then finally gave up and got going for the day. Fortunately for me, DH was running ahead of me, zipped out in the car and returned with a Starbucks mocha. Love that man!

I will try to get on after dinner this evening, but due to the short night last night, might need to crash early. (This time OFF the computer, I mean...) :rolleyes1

*sigh*

So tomorrow is the first day of school... they went against my availability and gave me a morning shift...

My manager was like giving me attitude... so i still wonder if i should go on my schedule shift and make my manager feel bad...

i mean it is only the first day of class... :\
:\ :\ :\ :\

bleh... bleh... bleh...

this coming week, freakin... 2 days off, 1 day work, another 2 days off...
I really want to hurt the scheduling people... seriously...

Probably the ONLY REASON i really really want to quit... :\

*bashes head on the table*

Poor guy, frustrating dealing with management huh?

I don't know.. first day is important too. It sets the tone for the year, you would miss the syllabus introduction, might miss out on notes.... School is more important, it's your future!

Sorry about all the troubles Albort...I would have to go with the school vote too...besides, there is no guarantee that your manager would even feel bad, and then mgmt might get the impression that you put them above school - that can never be good!!!

Hey Bernice - how is your DH doing??? And how about you, how are you doing at this point???

Hello!!! Its 8:30, and the kids are in bed, and dh is watching Harry Potter.. Bernice... I really hope your dh gets better really soon!

Keeping a close watch on him, he took a short nap and now he's working on his lesson plans.
We debated again the return to hospital, he decided to stick it out at work.

Took the meds he needs and seems more himself.
He told me more about last night/early morning. He remembered he had not slept, gave up on sleeping, went to the bathroom to splash water on his face (closing door to keep the light from bothering me). He felt "odd" , noticed his hands shaking, felt himself falling but blacked out before he hit the floor.

"Are you sure you should go to work?"

At first I thought it was just a weird "Ambien trance" from taking double dose, now I'm convinced it was a true seizure. Being altered (combative) at the hospital might have been a trace of Ambien still in his system, combined with fatigue from the seizure.

He was still a little foggy in the brain at home, side effect of Ambien and from seizure is my thinking. He's more alert now.

As for me.. I feel a bit better. I snuggled up and dozed with him for a bit. A bit anxious to see what happens tonight, but I'm prepared to call and ship his butt to hospital.. this time to stay!
I keep watch, make sure he's not "altered", putting my rusty nursing skills to work. It's been 12 years since I last worked as an LPN.

Bernice- I'm glad your DH is at home! I hope he gets lots of rest! It's never good to exceed dosages or skip meds (make sure he takes his blood pressure meds) - <my grandma and dad need to take meds for their blood pressure>.

My bf is a pharmacy tech and he said that one of the side effects of Ambien is amnesia. It can also cause hallucinations, confusion and abnormal behavior.

I think it was good that you called the ambulance. Maybe you could report it to his primary doctor (he may have to prescribe something else). I hope he gets lots of rest and you should get some too! :grouphug:

That's a bummer :( I remember you mentioned that they are not so lenient when it comes to school schedules. It sounds like they want to own your soul too! :sad2: J/k. I think they just want to have all the employees availale 24/7.

When can you speak to that one manager about being part of the Dream Squad? Is he still on vacation?

Pixster, sorry you had a bad reaction to the shrimp dinner. I love shrimp, too, that would be so disappointing!

Thanks Alex! I'm okay! :thumbsup2 I'm not allergic to shrimp in general but I'm guessing it was some mysterious ingredient they put in the food. :confused3 I've eaten various types of shrimp for years and nothing ever happend.

I took Clarinex and it helped. :goodvibes

I didn't even know he was out of some of his meds.

He was worried that Medicare wouldn't pick up all of the bill for the meds, so put off refilling them.. that and he's exceedingly busy during the day hours... two days a week he leaves before 7 am , returns close to 10 pm. :scared:

Getting med refills falls to the bottom of the list.

If he doesn't tell me about his med situation, I have no clue. That's something he controls. Being the machismo male that he is, "nothing can hurt me!!! I'm Superman!", means I take a step back to protect his male pride.

And later, I'm there to scold him as any good wife would do!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
