UnOfficial March 2012 Trip Planners Tread-DIS Meet 3/8 Info Pg 1

I would like to get sort of a count on who plans to attend the Dismeet.

Sorry, but I can't make it. We're seeing Wishes, and then it's straight to bed for me!

Beiji - added your ADRs to page 1.

I have to ask, what is a slacker seat?

From what I understand most get up and stand at the railing during Wishes at the Dessert Party. I booked it so as not to have to deal with the crowds down there in the thick of things. I am hopeing I get a table that I can see from sitting down if not, at least having the rail to lean against will work for my bad back if I do need to stand. DH will enjoy the sweets to so he might not grumble so much about staying for the fireworks this time.

You can see it here at Amazon.com. It seems very light, but DH was saying that it's heavy. He only says that because he already knows that I'll be asking him to carry it for me. I think I can hook it on to my backpack on days when I think I might need it. I also have some back issues and get tired easily. It helps enormously to be able to sit and take a break. I figure it will also help in certain pre-shows where they don't want you to sit on the floor.

I've never had chutney, but I'd love to try it! None of us are vegans, but DD has a milk allergy, so she would do well with the vegan offerings! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the input! Did you, by chance, snag any pictures of the buffet or food? I'd love to see them if you did! :goodvibes

I'm sorry, but I don't have any photos of the buffet. The chutneys are on the table with the hummus. You may want to look at Kosher dishes too because Kosher dishes can't have meat and dairy in the same meal.

That's a pretty cool chair! Now I want one. :lmao: Sorry to hear that you have back issues. :guilty:

It's okay that you don't have pictures. I'll let it slide this time. :p You mentioned hummus, I love hummus! So I'll definitely have to look for it! Now I'm getting excited about TH! :goodvibes

I didn't know that about Kosher dishes. I never really knew what it was. I'm glad I learned something new today! :thumbsup2

Thanks, and luckily they're not major ones.

Phew! That was close! :rotfl: The hummus is good, and it definitely tastes fresher than the stuff I buy at the grocery store which is a pretty good brand.

I've learned about Kosher because my mother-in-law is in a nursing home that keeps Kosher. As an adult she never ate Kosher, so we sometimes sneak her in non-Kosher food. Shhhh! :earseek:

Now I feel stupid, I bought one of those like 2 years ago but I have yet to take it with me anyplace, mainly since I have not gone anywhere to need it. DH told me I should bring it to Disney but I already have my carrry-on duffle plus a tote , and my CPAP(medical)

I usually buy cheap hummus at the grocery store, and I'm happy with it, so I can't wait to try TH's hummus! :cloud9:

I won't tell since you've been so helpful on this TH ADR of mine. :lmao:

It would probably fit in a checked bag if you take one. Speaking of feeling stupid (or maybe it was looking stupid in my case), when I went in 2007, I didn't want to stress my shoulder with a heavy bag, so I bought a small umbrella stroller just for my tote bag! CMs kept asking me where my baby was. I told them he was invisible because his father was the invisible man!

Oh dear that was a good one! :lmao:

it might fit in DH's bag I know it won't fit in mine since mine is a 20" carry - on size. I use to love my fanny pack but last trip it bothered me terrible causing my lower back pain to be worse. I am going to use a crossbody bag this trip hope it works better. I am debateing about getting and ECV, DH wants me to get a wheel chair like last time when my knee went out on me his thought is you can use it as a walker or stop and sit if need be.

Staying at POP March 4th-9th :D SO EXCITED. Just booked today. We're celebrating DHs 32nd bday and my little sisters 19th. A mini celebration for my 10 year old DD too since we were supposed to make her first trip to the world in Dec for her bday but had to cancel. Im going to leave some stuff at the front desk to have delivered to the room while we're out so she thinks a princess delivered her a late bday present :)

My Disney dreams have taken over as usual and since it involved changeing my ADRs, what better a time than at 4 in the morning to hope online and change change change :rotfl:

I was having a slight disagreement with DH in my dream about the late ADR at Cap't Grill after Fantasmic! so Just in case ............I changed our F! Pkg to an earlier time and added 50's Prime Time for dinner before the show(Yes Lidian all your pot roast pictures got to me.........are you happy now? :lmao:
I wanted something around 4:30 for 50's and will keep trying but for now I booked a 3:45pm, I am sure most likely by time we get seated and order it might be 4:15 or so anyway so might just keep that time.:confused3
F! is at 7pm so we need to be there 30-45mins before hand(615-630), which now that I think about it as I am posting this 3:45 might be a better time.
I drive myself crazy with these ADRs.:rotfl:
Not canceling Cap't Grill yet just in case I decide to go back to my original plan.:rotfl:

How awesome!!! I do hope you'll join us on the 8th at POR for a DISmeet! There will be several girls your DD's age to hang out with (one of them will be mine).

That's really awesome about having stuff delivered to your room for her! She'll have an amazing time! I can't wait to hear what your plans are! :goodvibes

I bet you would be mean and get me in trouble. :rotfl:

I have to tell DH today that I am getting rid of Cap't Grill , he may say NO

Thing is I had a late lunch 1:55 at MM then after F! heading over to CG at 8:30pm. DH is gonna be tired and cranky after spending the day at DHS and fighting the crowds after F! so I am thinking it is better his belly be full before F! and then we can just head back to the resort. Would be nice if they would extend the closing time to 8 that night , then people might not all be heading to the exit at the same time (I can hope)

I have to pin him down today about if he wants to rent a car or not as that depends on if we order water + from GG

I also have to decide about the scooter today. I need to have all this settled by Monday for my own peace of mind.:headache:
