The "with kids" version is geared more toward families traveling with younger children. It assumes you won't be taking part in adult nightlife activities, as well as assumes you will be more focused on more kid-friendly rides/attractions as opposed to thrill-oriented activities. I believe it also adjusts the touring plans to account for more/longer breaks. Personally, I prefer the regular edition as it gives you all the info...and you can draw your own planning conclusions from it. However, if someone is in the mindset of "ok, we're traveling with three-year-old triplets...we're not getting on Rock N' Roller Coaster on this trip", it could be useful in that you won't be getting info that doesn't apply to you.
