Hi! I am starting to plan my Feb. 2017 trip (presidents week). I haven't been to WDW since 2006 but was at DLR in 2012, and have been reading these boards A TON!!! So - from what I've read I know that TP and the UG are highly recommended planning resources. My question is - if I subscribe to TP, what will the book give me that TP doesn't? My main goal is to plan which parks to visit on each day based on crowd levels and to make optimimal use of our time there (who doesn't have these goals?!). Will I benefit any more from having both as opposed to just TP (or something else altogether?). Thanks!

I haven't compared the book to the website, but personally I like having a physical book that I can just easily flip to the specific info I want. The downside is that it may not be THE most current info, so you might have to cross-reference it with the website. Our library has 2-3 copies, so maybe check it out from your library first - even an older version - to give you an idea of what it's like and then decide if you want to buy it or not.

As for another resource, you might check out "The Easy Guide to Your First Visit." it is a collaboration between Josh @ easywdw and Dave from ************** .net

Personal preference - I like the Birnbaum's Guide for a brief overview. The Easy Guide to Your First Visit for detailed planning. And the Passporter to keep all my times, numbers, stubs, cards, etc.

But that's just me.

The book is a handy reference for virtually everything at WDW. TB gives you just that, touring plans, wait time app, updated crowd calendars. IMHO they are mutually exclusive.
