on a Season Finale night!!!!!!!!!!



At 8:45pm a friend tried to call my house (I have caller ID). Not only had I just gotten home and was fixing dinner but it was the last night of The Bachelorette. I wasn't about to answer the phone knowing that the call would be a long one. What were they thinking?

Please everyone, don't go calling people to chat on "important" nights. Check the TV Guide first.

My ILs call every single Thursday night during Survivor with out fail. We just don't answer the phone and they leave a message.

This is one of the reasons we got TiVO - PAUSE during "Pesky Calls for No Reason" incidents. I also had one tonight during "The Bachelorette", but this one was for a good reason - my friend is helping me update my resume. So I took the call. DH wasn't happy that I wouldn't let him touch the remote for 45 minutes, though.....

I called my mom this past Sunday night just as the season finale to Sex and the City was starting. WHOOPS!!! She said "I can't talk! The show's starting!"
And I'm a big fan too but I don't have cable so I didn't realize I was calling her at the wrong time.

A dear friend of mine used to answer the phone on Thursday nights "Knot's Landing" and hang up! She was not being interrupted for ANYTHING!!

Oh I so agree!!

I only watch 3-4 hours of TV per week. And sure enough, I always get a call during on of the shows!!! I just don't answer the phone & let the machine pick it up.

Sun night, I think everyone and their brother called. I didn't think I was ever going to get off to watch SATC!!!

Survivor, The Apprentice, Amazing Race, 24, company is over, DH and I are talking, I'm not in the mood......

I am a firm believer in answering machines!

My mother has this habit of calling during NASCAR race. I keep telling her not to and she still does. Now last night the phone was actually quiet during B. but than DH alarm broke into the ending and he took his sweet time shutting it off.

Our whole family knew never to call my Nana during DOOL. It was the one show that nobody was allowed to interrupt.

That makes me remember when my cousins and I were little.......if one of us got sick at school, we'd call our grandmother to come pick us up (our Mom's worked). Sometimes she'd screech out, "It's right in the middle of my story, you''ll have to hang on til a commercial!" She'd arrive shortly but never shut the car off. Had to rush to make it back home to catch the ending. Those were the days!

Oh man, I'm sure I'm guilty of this since I have absolutely no idea what night or time anything actually comes on! Sorry!!!

My DH and I only watch a few shows. He loves the Simpsons and I'm addicted to X Files re-runs and CSI. Oh, and we both love Monk and City Confidential. That's really about it - and we have the Tivo set to automatically recond those whenever it finds them in the listings, so we just watch them later without ever really noticing when they were actually on.

When I was little I would not go out to play until I seen My Voltron amime show.

Now people know not call me when wrestling or basketball or CSI, Law and Order, ER. Those is the only things I watch. If they do call they would not get through anyway because I stll have dial-up internet so they can't get thorugh.

Man, I need to get TiVo. I remembered Survivor last week at 8:55pm. Just long enough to see Rob's final comments to being voted off, and scenes from the next episode. Maybe one of you could call me tonight, to remind me not to take any phone calls, and then I'll remember to turn the TV on!

What is it with mothers/MIL's and Survivor. Every Thursday one or the other will call. I am doing pre-emptive calling now. I call earlier on Thursday so they won't have to call me.
