Universal's Superstar Character Breakfast

I went online and bought tickets for this, but there wasn't ever a place where I picked a time, just a date. I did receive paper tickets in the mail today, but it still just has a date, no time. The hours are listed as 9am-11am - am I to assume it simply lasts this whole time and I am to be there at 9? (I'm used to the Disney ADR system - this is disconcerting, lol!)

This is what it says on the website under the "begin purchase" button.

Reservations are required. After reserving and purchasing your dining experiences online, you must call 407-224-FOOD (3663) (EST 7:30am - 10pm Mon-Sat; 7:30am - 9pm Sun) up to 24 hours before arriving to confirm your table.

Yep, when you get closer to your date, you must call the number they give you and set your time. Make sure you have your reservation number with you when you check in. They asked for ours last year. Nice breakfast and we saw several characters. You choose the plate of food when you are seated.

Oh okay, any idea how close? It says up to 24 hours but I'd rather not have to wait that long... Kinda defeats the purpose of doing online though if you still have to call.

call now and if you are told it is too soon to make the ressie, ask them how far out do they start taking reservations.

July is a period where the hotels have a high occupancy level.
that is why i suggest if you know your vacation dates now, book now.

i go a couple times a year but my longer stay is october.
i book 11 months out for that stay as to get the better rates early before room rates increase due to hhn and get locked in.
i make my air plans after i have the room set up and booked.
