I'd love any advice for how to reduce the stress of an
Epic day. We were going to wait, but changed our minds and are going in August. I am an annual passholder, but my adult son's pass won't be activated yet, so we will probably have to buy him a regular single day pass. Usually I buy tickets/passes when I arrive, but it looks like the Epic single day AP and regular tickets occasionally sell out a few days ahead. Yes, we have been at Universal in the summer before; the weather is not a problem.
We're staying at Stella Luna and then moving hotels to have express passes for the old parks. I can't justify the Epic express because it doesn't cover everything and we are splurging elsewhere. My daughter and I want to ride all of Nintendo and Monsters, and for her as many coasters as possible. But I want to make this fun for my son and husband, who experience some anxiety at theme parks.
Are there any places to escape the crowds? I am an expert on this at the old parks and can take my family to places to decompress at a moment's notice. I need to know the Epic hidden spots!
I'm a bit confused about the easiest way to enter Nintendo, if we make it to early entry. What is this "secret passage?" If we don't make it that early, is this like Hagrid's and the worst in late morning? This is the highlight for us.
What can I tell my son about the intensity of Mine Cart and Monsters? He is fine with rides like Spiderman, but has never been on any coaster. He has not tried FJ yet, but hopefully this trip. He used to have problems with any motion on rides and is slowly testing what he can handle now.
I appreciate the comments about claustrophobia and welcome any more advice on that. My husband gets very claustrophobic when there are walls + people. All inside lines are stressful, but some are worse. He will never do Gringotts again after a bad experience, and will only ride Hagrid's under ideal conditions. He is happy to sit and wait for us if necessary. I have already decided to skip MoM, because it doesn't seem worth the insane wait times. I am looking for info on other things to enjoy in HP, because we are HP fans.
