Anyone who can handle BTM should be fine on Wing Gliders, which feels a little faster to me, but much more smooth. Werewolf I also found to be very smooth - just so SHORT in duration! Both are very family-friendly and not at all on par with Velocicoaster or even Mummy.

For the non-coasters, Monsters has a LOT of movement, but felt unlike much of anything else in any of the Orlando parks. The vehicle is very similar to FJ, but the ride felt very different to me. I got tossed around in my seat quite a bit, but don’t recall anything that felt like spinning or dropping.

My tolerance level has dropped quite a bit in recent years: the only ride that’s ever made me feel queasy is FJ for reasons I can’t explain. I can still ride things like Velocicoaster without feeling sick in any way… I just don’t enjoy the experience! Not sure when “near death” stopped feeling fun, but I decided on the crest of the “top hat” of my last ride on Veloci that it was my last lol!
appreciate this! I feel similarly about the rides you mentioned that I've experienced before, so this will help me a lot as well!

I agree with the assessment of monsters. It's like FJ but different and I don't know how to explain it

I can't remember if you had already said - did you try Stardust while there? It seems like we're kind of similar on tolerance, and I'm mixed on if I want to attempt Stardust or not.

Great synopsis! This is super useful info. I’ve never done FJ because I do get motion sickness if the ride goes upside down or hanging on your back for any length of time. I looked at a video of Monsters and it doesn’t seem too bad in that way. Would you agree?

Can't explain why but I have this weird gut feeling that I would be able to tolerate Stardust more than Velocicoaster (I've done neither). Stardust seems smooth and steady, when I think about Velocicoaster my mind is stuck on that second launch where it looks like you're getting blasted out on a rocket ship. Would like to get to the point where I can do both.

I did not try Stardust yet. I had a sinus headache on my preview day and knew speed + inversion was a bad idea! I’ll probably try it eventually, because I really, really LOVE negative Gs on a coaster and it looks like it has plenty of that.

Totally agree. FJ is literally the ONLY ride in my 50+ years of theme park and fair rides that made me nauseated - something about the swooping motion that feels like being in the back of my grandfather's enormous Buick when I was little just does not work for me! I felt none of that on Monsters. Monsters had a lot more movement, but at a faster pace and more jerky. The constant changes of direction were similar to Gringott’s, despite being a totally different kind of ride, if that makes any sense.

Yes, the swooping motions totally get me. Also, it has been so long since we have been to Universal, I haven’t been on Gringott’s yet. I’m hoping I can ride that one.

How are photos working for the previews? I noticed I can’t add the photo package to my preview day, but can I still purchase individual pictures? And if so, can that be done in the app or only in person? Thank you!!

A couple of answers to this but I think the question is about the HP ride, NOT Monsters. I don’t know if it’s trackless but the vehicle kinda reminds me of ToT, and apparently it rises and falls, but prob not free fall like ToT. Don’t think there’s any spinning or tilting.
Thank you!!!
Yes, my initial question was about the HP ride, so appreciate your response! I’d heard the comparison to ToT vehicles, but was having trouble picturing those on a track (like Gringotts) but maybe they’re not as wide as ToT?
