any thoughts on the Universal's Cinematic Spectacular – 100 Years of Movie Memories?
Is the dinner at the Lombard's Seafood Grille and the decadent dessert buffet while you enjoy an exclusive viewing area for Universal's Cinematic Spectacular worth the cost?

We like the show, seen it several times.

As for Lombards, unless you really want to eat there I wouldn't bother with their dining experience.

You get just as good a view from most places around the lagoon as you would from Lombards viewing area, then you can eat wherever you like.

We saw it last year and enjoyed it. It was fun recalling all the movies over the years. I loved all the music as well.

After it was over it made me want to watch some of the movies.

We didn't have a problem finding a great spot to watch. Just be careful because you can get wet if you are too close! I learned that the hard way!

agree..Lombards food was disappointing.

Does anyone have information on or photos of the desserts provided as part of the package? Are there beverages too? Any info would be appreciated!

www.universalorlando.com has info listed there for that package/Lombards

did see pics of the desserts and thoughts of the cinema/dining package in the trip forum as it was part of the poster's thread.

We were there on Thursday night and walked off the train with about 15 minutes before it began. We walked right up to the wall near the restaurant and had no problems. We had a front on view of the water screen. The view from the restaurant was more of a side view. I wonder how it look since they seemed to be at a 45 degree angle from it. Nobody was moving from there. That is unless if the side of the building closest to Harry Potter isn't used for this experience.

I went ahead and booked this because it wasn't horribly expensive and the weekend I'm there (after thanksgiving) will likely be busy. I bought the tickets online and was prompted to call to book my actual table.

I have 2 concerns.

1. There were ticket shipping options so I just selected kiosk pickup. The guy on the phone said I wouldn't need tickets, but then why was that choice there?

2. He asked what time I wanted to eat. I asked him when the show started and he said immediately at sundown and recommended a 5pm reservation. Does the show really start at sundown? That seems odd, and in late November won't the sun be setting around the time I'm eating?

Now I'm nervous. Do I need a ticket and is my reservation time okay?

I booked the package for Thanksgiving night. Completely different information was given to me on the phone. I was told the show will start at park closing, so for that week 9pm. Tickets will need to be picked up at will call (option I selected) and there are 2 sets of tickets. One is for the dinner and the other is for the dessert/viewing area. She said it didn't matter when you had your meal but to arrive around 30 mins early for the viewing area of the show. We booked dinner for 6:45pm thinking we will stay in the area/restaurant/viewing area the entire time.

That sounds far more likely to be true than the answers I got. So the park closes at 7. Hmmm. I guess that's okay to eat at 5. Anyone have an opinion? Should I change my dinner to 5:30?
