Hi folks,

Has anyone done the universal cinematic experience with the meal deal / dessert buffet at Lombards? It sounds good and not bad value for $44.99........

Planning is awesome isn't it??!! I'm thinking of food and dessert with almost 300 days still to go.....

Haven't done the meal deal but have seen the show which is very good. I will say that, even at peak time, it's easy enough to get a good view of the show. That said, the Lombard's location does get good reviews. For us, the commitment and $50+ fixed cost doesn't really work (with tax and tip that would be over $110 for the two of us, without drinks!) so we just eat offsite or at City Walk. If we had a bigger party, or limited time in Universal (we usually visit 3-4 times per trip) then we would consider it as it does sound like a hassle free evening.

We just did the show in june, when it was mega busy as so many people kept coming hoping for soft openings of DA and when they realised it wasnt going to happen they would all flee to the lake.

We was going to do the meal deal and for us it wouldnt have been worth it! he viewing spot is a vast area, you can see from most places around the lake! and although its a nice show its not heart stopping, or anything close to a disney one in my opinion!
Transformers is right next to where the show takes place and gets really quite at that time, and so my boys spent most of the time before it started running in and riding the ride over and over, and not once did i have to say to anyone that i was saving the space,as there was plenty of room.
