UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT OFFERS COMPLIMENTARY 1-DAY 2-PARK TICKET TO STATE-CERTIFIED FLORIDA SCHOOL TEACHERS

Universal Orlando Will Also Make Donation to the Florida Education Foundation to Fund Teacher Recruitment Efforts

Orlando, Fla. – Universal Orlando Resort offers Florida teachers a complimentary 1-day 2-park ticket to both Universal Orlando theme parks – Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure – to show its appreciation for their hard work. The new offer also includes the opportunity for teachers to purchase up to six discounted companion tickets for their friends and family.

“Florida school teachers do so much for our children, and this free ticket offer is just one way we can show our thanks for their dedication,” said Kurt Kostur, senior vice president of marketing for Universal Orlando Resort. “We are excited to be able to partner with the Florida Education Foundation to show our support for their efforts to recruit additional teachers.”

In order to take advantage of this program, state-certified Florida school teachers, can visit the Florida Education Foundation Web site, www.floridaeducationfoundation.org, and fill out a form to register and download their free ticket voucher. A valid Florida teaching certificate is required. Once they have completed the online application process, certified Florida teachers can print their 1-day 2-park ticket voucher, which can be redeemed at the front gate of either theme park – Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure.

“The Florida Education Foundation is pleased to be able to partner with Universal Orlando Resort to reward Florida teachers for their hard work with this free ticket offer,” said Executive Director Ron Nieto.

For each ticket that is purchased under the program, Universal Orlando will make a $2 donation to the Florida Education Foundation to help fund the recruitment of additional Florida school teachers.

“The state of Florida needs high-quality teachers to meet the needs of our growing population,” said Education Commissioner John L. Winn. “With robust support and aggressive recruiting strategies, we can make sure every student in Florida has an outstanding teacher.”

This ticket is not available at www.universalorlando.com, and Florida teachers must complete the application process at home before redeeming their ticket at the front gate. The free ticket is only valid the day the voucher is redeemed at the front gate. The offer must be redeemed by January 31, 2007 (with blackout dates: December 25, 2006 – January 1, 2007).

The Universal Orlando resort destination (www.universalorlando.com) includes two dramatically distinct and adjacent theme parks, the Universal Studios motion picture and television theme park and Islands of Adventure, Orlando's most thrilling and exhilarating theme park. Universal Orlando also includes CityWalk, a 30-acre dining, shopping, club and live-entertainment venue as well as premier on-site Loews hotels and world-class film and television production facilities.
