Got a link from Mousesavers to the Ticketmaster.com Universal tickets that work out quite cheap - anyone know if the print at home tickets work OK from the UK?

and do you have to trade them in for actual hard tickets when you get to Universal? and can they be exchanged for the tickets in the hotels or just the park booths?

We booked a night at Hard Rock Hotel while we are out next year (not told the kids) so will be going up fairly sharp anyways.

Just thought I would ask here from a UK perspective before asking on the Universal boards?

Not used TicketMasters offer but have used print at home Universal ticket with another company. With ours we had a number we entered into the Kiosks outside the gates which then printed hard tickets but reading TicketMaster it sounds like you print and use that as your ticket, saw many using A4 sheets at the gate last week when we were there.
I have used TM numerous times for other tickets, shows in New York etc, never a problem

Cool - thanks for that Wayne - seems like a good price but will look into it more over next couple of days but if you can use it like that then fabby!

We haven't done the print at home tickets - we prefer to do the electronic pick-up as you get proper tickets then. The trouble with the print at home ones is they are only a piece fo paper and if you're planning on using them for multiple days, can get a bit worn.

In answer to your question, though, I've never heard of anyone having problems with the print at home tickets, other than the one I mentioned above.

I have seen sites too where you print off on A4 size paper - it does seem a bit daft, personally wouldn't want to have to take that to the parks each time.
Tickets ideally should be credit card size.

True, but if it's only a 2 day thing then that's not as bad and will have room in Pete's camera bag thing for them!!

Been looking around (as usual!) and seen on Undercovertourist the 2 park unlimited one for $100.95 BUT is says Universal Orlando - US Only - does that mean it's for USA Residents only that one?

Tried phoning them and they don't open until 2pm so can't ask them - also did see that offer via a link on Mousesavers and then it asked for a Florida zip code so am presuming it is - anyone know?

I know - Im a pain!!

According to that site there is a UK telephone number - UK Freephone: 0800 081 1702 .

Must admit undercovertourist isn't that easy on the eye to navigate around, we got ours from Dreams Unlimited - have you tried there?
You get a confirmation number which you use to collect your tickets on arrival, I thought this was quite easy and a good price too.

Similarly to Johnny, we used Dreams Unlimited for our Universal tickets last year. They were the cheapest at the time - not sure how they compare now.

I bought last ticket we needed from Dreams. Link here http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/universal/

Others I know have used Lastminute.com with Quidco cashback
Also Viator.com as there was a discount code available which made them cheaper than anywhere else.
No idea how they all compare now.

we used the Ticketmaster printout tickets just this last month. We took them to the turnstyle but they wouldnt scan through and said they were void. I immediately got a bad feeling but we went to the customer services at the gate, she validated them and printed off new ones complete with 4 free fastpasses for us to use :thumbsup2

no problems - and they are very cheap

complete with 4 free fastpasses for us to use :thumbsup2

We got free fastpasses last month to use on any ride because Disaster train broke down. Never used them though, lines were not long enough anywhwere.
We rode a few things both in Disney and Uni where regular line was walk on but fastpass had a quite a few people going thru. Most notable was Big Thunder Mountain, we walked right on, fast pass had at least 20 people in, crazy.
