We want to visit universal on our trip in December. What do you suggest for tickets? I think 2 days, one day in each park will be fine. We are a family if 5 kids ages 14-20.
Going dec 14-21.
Looks like their online price might be the best deal right now, even better than UT.
Thanks!

The online prices on the Universal website do not include taxes and fees. The UT site does.

Keep an eye out at www.usssa.com Right now their two day tickets are unavailable but when thy are available they are an excellent deal.

As Damo said, you probably haven't worked in all charges when you price on the Universal website. I always go to the last page before check out to see what my total is no matter where I price. With UT you don't have to. :)

Well, thanks for the tip on the taxes and fees! What a difference!!!

Now, we have never been to US or IOA. Do we need 2 days? We love thrill rides. It is Dh and I , kids are 20,18 and 14.

I really want to see Harry Potter world. I think they would enjoy the rides.

If I buy a one day Park to Park, how much will they charge me to upgrade if we want to return for the second day?

You will just pay the difference in normal prices to upgrade. To do the parks justice, I recommend 2 days.

If it's your first time, plan 2 days. With your age group, US/IOA are a great choice. My 2 (15/17) probably prefer Uni over Disney now (gasp). The thrill rides are great!

Each park deserves a full day, there is a lot to do! If you are there for vacation weeks in Dec, get the FOTL pass to make sure you ride everything you want. If not a vacation week, crowds should be manageable and FOTL is probably not required if you have a full day for each park. P2P is probably not necessary if 1st time; we use it now since we have been a couple of times and have our favorites which we try to ride twice, but not really required first time while you are learning the parks.

I've seen 3 day tickets at our Costco (near Baltimore), so keep an eye out for those if you belong to Costco. It may be worth it! I forget how much they were, but I'm sure it's less than some places.

The three day tickets out right now at Costco are VIP tickets. They're not worth the cost.

Thanks for the info - I haven't been in years so didn't even know if they were still there (although I'm at Costco almost once a week!).

Nevermind.. I see where they are temporarily unavailable. Darn.

Can you tell me if my math is correct?

Family of five 2 days at Universal

2 day admission ticket from universal is $125.99

1 day from usssa is $70. Gate price is $92

If I buy tickets from usssa for $350 or $70 each

Then at universal I can upgrade to a 2 day ticket for just $ 34 pp or $170?

It seems like that would save me almost $150!

I know I am missing taxes but usssa doesn't add any taxes just shipping and I am guessing that Universal would add taxes on the additional day.

Thanks!

When I try this website, I keep getting redirected to usssatoday.com which is the website of some specialty sports association.

Can you give me the actual name of the site so I can google it and get a better URL?

earlier today I bought 4 tickets to US, park hoppers, 4 day b/c it was same price as 2 day eventhough I only wanted 3 days...but www.ticketsatwork.com has best price on extended ticket. 142.99 for 4 day park hopper to us/ioa. I heard undercover tourist is good too! AAA?
