Taking a quick trip to Orlando to go to Disney for two days and Universal for one. As a person who loves Disney I have not yet been to Universal and therefor I am very unfamiliar with the way their parks "do business." When buying tickets I noticed the option to Buy the Park-to-park pass (a park hopper pass basically from what I understand) which I think is the option to choose here but leads to my first question:

Spending only one full day at Universal (on a Saturday in September which from what I've gathered from online searching is a low crowd time of the year) - is getting the park to park pass worth it for only one day? In other words, realistically is there time to make it to both parks, doing at least a few attractions at both?

With that I understand you can take the Hogwart's Express but noticed you could walk through city walk to get to the other park as well - are the parks close enough that the walk would be quick as well?

Lastly, Are the tickets in a card form or do they have some sort of magic band/wearable item for your park tickets?

Thanks for any help!

The walk is relatively quick, but Wizarding World in each park is pretty much at the "back" of each park.

Tickets are the old-school tyvek-paper hybrid that WDW used to have and Disneyland still does. Thankfully the only thing wearable at Uni is the lanyard that's a terrific idea to get. (I'm partial to my Ravenclaw themed one)

You could add the park to park option once you're there, if you find yourself doing more than expected.

But if you don't have park to park, you cannot take Hogwarts Express. Since that is basically two "rides" in one (the story is different in each direction), and many like it, not having park to park does cause you to miss some fun.

I'm not sure how much the difference is in the price.

The Hogwarts express is one of the best rides in the whole park. Last year I took my in laws to the parks along with my wife and daughter. The Hogwarts express ride was the most liked by the whole group. But we have some huge Harry Potter fans in our ranks.

But, it all depends on how much you want to spend and what kind of entertainment you are looking for.

The walk between the parks is only a few minutes, if that. And you will be surrounded by a lot of fun stuff, so it feels like a few seconds. Hope you have a great time!
