Universal Studios Harry Potter London Diagon Alley Expansion Pictures

My family and I are staying from Oct 25th -Oct 30th we can't wait to be there just bought our tickets. I bought 1 preferred AP and my husband and children I bought 4 day PTP passes is this enough time to see HHN and Diagon Alley?

HHN requires separate admission and has separate express passes for it.It is not included with regular admission.4 days should be plenty though for the parks .We do 2 days each park.

I planned on getting HHN tickets when they are available .. It's been a few years since we have been there and I was wondering if anything has changed much. This is also the first time we are staying on sight .. What I didn't know was they have separate express passes for HHN so I would have to get those tickets plus the express pass since my hotel passes will not work?

Express passes from the resort dont work for HHN..It works for the park rides and shows during regular park hours, but there is a separate express pass for the HHN houses and attractions

Thank you. I did not know that but now that I do I will plan on getting those passes any idea how much they were last year to get an idea of what they will cost.

Here ya go:

HHN tickets are DATE specific.Last year they were $91.99 plus tax and fees per person.this is general admission pricing, chances are you will find a better deal and they do offer pkgs etc.Stay and scream tickets were pretty popular and cheaper (
This option allows guests traveling from around the world to purchase discount admission to HHN provided they also purchase regular daytime admission to the parks. In other words, if you purchase a Base ticket or a Park-to-Park ticket to visit Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure during the day, you qualify to purchase a Stay & Scream discount HHN ticket. This is a popular option because so many guests already plan on going to the parks during the day and HHN at night — but it also allows Universal to advertise “stay longer and scream with us tonight!” all over the parks.)
HHN 2013 Express Passes

Just like regular Universal Express Passes, HHN Express Passes range in price. This year (2013) they go from $49.99 plus tax per person to $99.99 plus tax per person. There are no discounts for Florida residents, Annual Passholders, or anyone else. Here is the full pricing schedule:

Sept 20, 26, 29, Oct 16, 31, and Nov 1 – $49.99

Oct 3, 10, 23, and Nov 2 – $59.99

Sept 21, 27, 28, and Oct 6, 13, 17 & 27 – $69.99

Oct 4, 11, 20 & 24 – $79.99

Oct 18 & 25 – $89.99

Oct 5 – $99.99

Oct 12, 19 & 26 – $109.99*

Keep in mind the peak nights WILL SELL OUT ..they are that popular

As you can see this is NOT cheap at all and will cost you a pretty significant chunk of change. But given the reports of incredibly long waits without the express passes, there is no way I would go without them

if you buy your hhn thru the AP website, they are much cheaper.

i bought the hhn tickets that covered all non peak nights with the express.
one set price which made it cheaper for me.
if you use it for 3 nights, you come out ahead than buying each night hhn ticket/express.

you can buy up to 6 hhn tickets with your AP, preferred or premier pass.

you can also buy the discounted ap hhn tickets at guest services.

I bought all my tickets today through the Universal Orlando website..

Polyguy........thanks for the latest pictures.......they are fantastic to see :thumbsup2

They are turning and burning over at Uni! I can"t wait to see this expansion in person. It looks fantastic. Thanks for the pics.

$140 for a one day 2 park ticket... Ouch... Let's see, for my family of 6 that's $900 plus food and drink... Let's just call it a cool G for ONE day at US/IOA... Wowser...

Have they stated how they will handle the split parks? Will you need a 2 park ticket to ride Hogwarts Express? It seems like they are intentionally splitting the entire Wizarding World to force people to buy a 2 park pass.

We went to US/IOA in Oct '12 and paid under $1K for 2 single park days... Seems like a bargain now...

We are in the same boat :(

Yes you will need park to park access, and yes Universal is very business minded and knows this will produce more money.

They have said this for awhile now..A park to park ticket will be required.Of course they intentionally split the wizarding world.Much like Disney, Universal is a buisness. They want people to stay onsite and they want it to be a destination vacation much like disney already is.

Since Hogwarts Express will be inside the parks, you must have access to both IOA and the Studios. You can still buy the single park ticket (for now) but since you will only have access to one park, Hogwarts Express is out. If you don't have access to both parks, you don't really think Universal would allow you to pay for one park and then go to the other park for free do you? People sometimes forget that. I doubt Disney would allow access to two parks on a single park ticket either...but maybe I'm wrong. ;)

But the fact that HE is an attraction, that means one needs a 2 park ticket in order to ride that attraction. I doubt you will find any other theme park with that scenario. I am sure it will entice some people to do more days at Universal. As for me, it put me off. I am sure sometime in the future we will do it, but it gets costly to jump between theme parks.

Unless the train itself will stop at a series of turnstiles requiring you to show your pass to enter IOA/Uni.

I expect it to be like the boat from DHS to Epcot. Anyone can ride it from DHS to Epcot, but if you want entry to Epcot, you need a hopper pass.

You'll need a park-to-park pass in order to board the train.

The train itself is an attraction, not simply a mode of transportation, so they'll make people foot the additional expense to experience it.

Difference is that the boat lets you out outside of DHS or Epcot. The Hogwarts Express lets you off inside the park. So if you want to go to the other park, you need a two park pass.

It is an attraction as well as a means of transportation. No other theme park has that scenario but that's not a bad thing. Most people who go to see the Harry Potter stuff will want to see both parks anyways. If you are the type of person who doesn't care about Harry Potter, then you won't care if you ride the HE anyways.

Has that been confirmed anywhere? Who is to say they won't make the train stop at a section with turnstiles?
