Universal Studios Harry Potter London Diagon Alley Expansion Pictures

Has that been confirmed anywhere? Who is to say they won't make the train stop at a section with turnstiles?

if you go to www.universalorlando.com and pull up the map of the parks, you will see the location of parry hotter places in both parks.

the turnstiles are at the front of the parks, no where near the hp sections.
hp2 is located where jaws once was.

may he rest in peace.........

But the fact that HE is an attraction, that means one needs a 2 park ticket in order to ride that attraction. I doubt you will find any other theme park with that scenario. I am sure it will entice some people to do more days at Universal. As for me, it put me off. I am sure sometime in the future we will do it, but it gets costly to jump between theme parks.
Sorry it put you off but if you aren't planning a visiting because of one attraction well...that's something you'll have to decide on.

When we went in Dec, I didnt think I would even use my Island of Adventure ticket for any of the park other then Harry Potter..But I was really pleased with that park, I really thought it was only rollar coasters..Well worth the money, and will be worth the money to purchase a duo ticket if you must..This attraction is awesome and this is coming from a die hard disney fan...:worship:

It has been confirmed many times. All of the new information now out says you need a two park pass to ride the Hogwarts Express. Both drop off locations are inside the parks, in the Harry Potter areas, at the backs of both parks. There is no route to get to your vehicle at either of those drop off spots without going through the parks.

You can check that information out here: www.universalorlando.com/harrypotter

After checking out the US website it looks like they offer a 3 day (2+1 free day) park to park ticket for only $20 more than a one day ticket .. That price makes it a little easier to take...

Watch the expiry dates on that 2 +1 fee ticket.

2nd this..This info has been confirmed for awhile. Both ride points are well within the parks. There is no way around the park to park ticket. This is new for themeparks, but it is a new scenario too. If this were built at Disney, there is no way Disney would allow guests to visit 2 parks in one day without a park hopper ticket.Yes park tickets are expensive, but Universal wants people to stay onsite and spend more park days at Universal, just like Disney.

We're Universal AP holders but we always bring guests and buy them tickets which allow park hopping. I don't see a problem with needing tickets allowing guests to go to both. We're going in April but can't wait for our November trip so we can experience Diagon Alley! Universal did such a lovely job on Wizarding World.

At Disney even if we spend all day at one park but want dinner at another, park hoppers or APs are required. We do the same thing-have APs but buy guests park hoppers and that's mainly because we tend to stay in Epcot resorts with evening dining reservations at Epcot.

when is the rumor of this opening ?? We will be there in Oct/Nov and just wondering if it will be open by then.

The rumor is June 13th but that's just a guess at this point. In any event Diagon Alley WILL be open when you visit.

OMG ! Sweet ! I think it is back to a 3-4 night stay. I had reduced it to 1 night. LOL I forgot this was opening !

I did not know this. That's the only reason why I kept pushing the point. I'm so sorry! That's what I get for not checking the site! :rotfl2:

Is there a reason people think this? I'm curious to know why that date comes to mind....
I love rumours haha and why people think certain things :)

I'm there from the 18th for a wk and can't decide if I want it to already be open, so the opening day crowds will be over with, or open a day or 2 after I arrive so I get a chance of a soft opening and can then stay away from the areas lol

All I can figure is it's the only Friday the 13th during the summer months???

No clue...it's just a date that got thrown out at some point.

There are lots of insiders on various forums who throw out dates for things. Sometimes they are right and sometimes they are wrong. They are usually pretty good at giving target dates and usually really good as we get close to an opening date.

Robert Miles said his sources indicated June 13 was the date. And then I read somewhere separately that blackout dates of some sort started June 14, so the dates would appear to coincide. Could be a coincidence of course.

Oh Boy Oh Boy!

We'll be in Orlando for a little post cruise add on from 6/22 - 6/25. If this is open that is the deciding factor between Sea World and Universal. I'll keep watching this thread and any other updates I can find, but when do you all think that an opening date will be set? Maybe March?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there might be some of it soft opening in May lol. I doubt it, but a boy can dream ;-)
