I know that there is a shuttle from the subway to the park which we will be taking as I understand it is uphill. I notice also from the park hours that the shuttle stops 2 hours after the park closes. As we had planned to go to Citywalk afterwards and likely to miss the last shuttle - how far a walk would it be? Is the area safe enough to walk? - it may have gone dark as it will be the end of September.

Also another question, from the park hours the park closes at 6pm on the Tuesday (which was the day we planned to visit and a quiet day from what I understand on here) but on a Thursday, the park closes at 7pm. I wondered whether going on a Thursday was worth the trade off with it being a bit busier to gain an extra park hour - what do you think?

It's a 10min walk (all downhill) from the exit of the park to the entrance to the RedLine.

Yes, it's safe. I have walked from the entrance of USH to the RedLine many times, never once have I felt unsafe. Police regularly patrol that area and direct traffic.

Weekdays in September are always slow. Tuesday vs Thursday, it really doesn't matter.
