I told the story about it in another thread not long ago, we came down into the splashdown, and my lower right rib cage hit between the cushion pads and the bare metal bar, as well the cushion pad was creaked so it offered no real protection. As soon as we hit I said I think I just broke my ribs. It felt like I took a baseball bat to the lower rib cage, it instantly turned to a bruise.
I left the park right after that, and then I told Universal about it so they could do a safety check on the rafts or replace the lap bars which they did in early November 2002. I didn't know I cracked a rib until 3 days later when the pain wouldn't go away, I suspected I might have broke a rib or two so I went to the doctor and that's where it was confirmed.
Everyday I go to IOA I walk by JPRA and I say to myself "I am going on this time; I need to go back on." Yet I can't force myself on the ride again after the injury back on 1.16.02 I only rode it 2 more times 7.5.02 & 7.16.02 a website needed some pictures of the ride and I promised I would get them so I literally forced myself on then and all I kept saying to myself was "This is the last time I am going on so these pictures better come out."
