Universal raises price of higher tier APs

We only had the seasonal pass. It was perfect for us because we like to go when the crowds are less anyways so the holiday/busy times being blocked out didn’t bother us.
We didn’t renew due to the parking fees. It’s just not worth the $30 each time we wanted to pop in for a few hours.

Universal is really good about copying Disney. This is one area that I wish they would. Include parking will all AP’S like Disney.

As out of staters, we usually only get the Seasonal...we get down once or twice a year. If only once a year, we just make sure each year's visit falls within the pass's boundaries. We have upgraded when appropriate, for black-out dates, but mostly visit on the Seasonal timeline. I went ahead and bought our Seasonal Passes, last week, thinking the increase was coming and would hit all levels...got lucky either way.

Just an FYI for any new pass purchasers. I had a good package with a promo ticket for a trip this week. I was going to trade in my ticket for a pass on-site, but the prices went up. When I called there was an “AP acquisition package” that was considerably cheaper than the AP room price plus the current pass price. They applied my earlier package price to this one and swapped them out. I suspect the AP price with the package was either heavily discounted or the price hadn’t been updated. YMMV.

So interesting. I dug around on their website and found this package. Might be worth trying to find again if we decide to become Passholders. . We are doing an HHN only trip during a busy October week so are not planning to be in the parks during the day unless I get the scream early tickets or whatever they are called.

would you have a link to this?

would you have a link to this?

Well no. I played around on universals site and eventually found it somehow through annual pass. It was an annual pass vacation package and gave you options of all passes and hotels and ground transportation. It may also have been under vacation package too. I was playing around with October dates which does not yet have a hotel discount but I will try again and see if I can find it and link it. I was surprised to even find it existed.

DS just texted me he was notified his AP was going up to $55 a month in July so he cancelled.

It is different there, you don't have to renew at the year date if on monthly, they just keep it going until you cancel. At least they notified him it would go up.
