Hi - quick questions about IoA.

We'll be there at the end of July. I'm assuming the park opens at 8am. We're staying at HRH, so I understand that we can get in to the park at 7am (this is fine as we're going on the first day, so we'll still be time-zoned out)! My question is what time do they actually open the gates - is it actually at 7am, so that we should arrive for 7am, or is it earlier? I hope that doesn't sound as backwards as it appears!

How busy is it during that hour?? What's the "likely" / your best guess wait time?

Second, on that day, what would you do about breakfast? There's no way we'd want to eat until after riding HP. I know there's the 3 broomsticks, but I think you have to book and there's no way of predicting a time...

Thanks for any help here!!

never went to early opening , and we stayed 3 weeks onsite, but get there about 6.30 6.45, as they apparently will let you in and hold the queue in and around Lost Continent till WWHP opens at 7am.
we preferred to ride WWHP late in the evening, we would usually go about 9pm to WWHP and rode FJ numerous times with no queue, beat getting up early ,which we dont do on hols.

We have stayed on site a couple of times to take advantage of the early entry etc and the gates were opened just before 7am for hotel guests - once inside we waited in a holding area just inside the park before they let everyone go to WWHP.

It's great being able to ride FJ without much of a queue - we always do it again after our first ride as its such a fast transit through the queueing area first thing that its easy to miss out on some of the themeing.

I wouldn't recommend eating breakfast at the Three Broomsticks. There will be a huge queue, it's a set price, it's expensive and the food is very poor. We've eaten breakfast there twice as we got a voucher in the package but its not worth paying OOP. Lunch was a bit better.

From what I remember, there's a little bakery place near the park entrance that you can easily pick up a pastry/drink.
