Universal... No makes indoors or outdoors starting next week. Will Disney follow?

It's the retail effect. Whatever Walmart does, Target would follow. I expect Disney to do this in the next 2 weeks.

I hope so. I have our trip all planned out and was just waiting on the mask removal as my kids will have a hard time. I'm planning to go in may so hopefully by then all will be good

I'm focused more on Disneyland m I'm hoping if Disney world changes the mask policy Disneyland will as well
That will depend on local policy. Florida does not have a mask mandate, hasn't for some time (or maybe never did), so masking at Disney is by company policy and can be removed at anytime.

California does have mask mandates, so Disney can't just decide to lose the masks until the state lifts the mandate.

I'd expect WDW and DLR to 'align' their policies at some point. Just not sure it's going to happen next Tuesday.

Man you really got my hopes up. I just told my wife no masks for Universal for our trip next month. Then I realized this is for Orlando. Ugh!

Universal has to have proof of vaccination or negative test when they qualify as a mega-event (over 10,000 guests) but don't actually check on low attendance days. Once attendance gets a little higher, they don't go into the park to check everyone but just start checking people who enter. So technically, they're breaking the law but it's good enough for everybody involved.
Exactly, and honestly at this point if someone doesn't feel safe then don't go.

The only mention I saw of mega events was capacity thresholds, but it is really unclear.
