Universal Newbie with ??s

I am definately a Universal newbie! I've been several times but usually for a day while we are on our WDW vacations. This year I am bringing my friend down who has never even been to FL. (his only two trips on a plane have been to Washington DC in high school and to NC with me in Feb!) He hates crowds! We are going 11/4-11/13. My family is coming to join us on 11/10 so I think we will save Disney until the end of the week. We are thinking abotu getting the 5 park flex ticket. Can anyone give me any advice? We looked at booking a package but the only thing availabe is a club room at Portofino (2660 for 4 nights!)...is it so busy that they are booked? Any info or advice about Universal would be great! Any recommendations...etc?

did you contact universal resort vacations?

hotelkingdom.com and orangevacations.com are competitive in prices and packages.

or, go thru a AAA travel agent if you have a membership with them.


i have never been anytime to universal past october 14th.
the november time period i have zero knowledge of.
on one thread people listed their room/costs for the 3 universal onsite hotels. you listed a price quite high. have you checked the other thread to get an idea of cost in the november period?
