Having forgotten there was a time limit on the 5 free extra days access offer on the dual US/IOA tickets sold by AttractionTicketsDirect.co.uk, I'm now on the lookout for any other similar deals.

Universal themselves have a deal on a 2 day 2 park ticket which actually gives a total of 5 consecutive days unlimited access to the 2 parks from the first day of use, at $89.95 per person, about £55 at current rates, a pretty good deal.

I'm just wondering if anybody else knows of a better option ?

I vaguely recall a while ago that one site was offering a ticket with something like 12 days extra free for the price of a 2 day pass, but again I assume that offer has now lapsed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

AAarrgghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..... you must be gutted, mate!!

Luckily we got ours on the last day ( nearly forgot ourselves ! ).

The Universal offer is the best going......but here's an even better price for their 5 day pass. $81.95.

There's a very specific addy to use, it's not available on the main website for US/IOA.

Here it is :
https://tickets.universalstudios.com/USRG/us_store_secure2.jsp?merchant=kraft

Then go to the Universal Orlando site.

Thier is a limit of 4 tickets per person, so you'll need to get a couple of other cards out!!!

Hope that's some use, at least you can get another fiver each off the price....... a kid's meal + drink at the Peabody!

Hi Mike !

Yeah, I was a bit annoyed when I realised I'd missed the cut off date for those passes, but never mind, 5 days will still be more than enough - we're there for 16 days, and we have to fit in 3 Disney parks (we won't bother going to the big zoo ;) ), both Universals, Seaworld, Busch Gardens, Kennedy, Typhoon Lagoon, Wide World Of Sports (that's for me ;) ), DisneyQuest and possibly Wet 'N' Wild, while still trying to get shopping and chill-out days in too.

So I think we'll probably only use a 3rd day to skip about between the 2 Universals to do stuff we missed first time up. And maybe on our last day to kill time if, as I suspect, the boys prefer US over WDW, we might spend our final half day their too.

Thanks muchly for the discounted tickets link ! Where the heck did you come across that one ?? I've looked and not seen anything to suggest otherwise, so can I assume that this isn't an offer restricted to Floridians or Americans ? It's ok for us Brits to use that link too ?

And I'll take an 8 buck saving on 4 tickets ! Add in that I'm probably going to go along with your other suggestion about getting the US/IOA Pass and Adventure Passport combo over the 5 day Flex ticket too, and you've helped me make me a nice saving fella, thanks.

And I only need 4 passes so I can grab them in one hit too, even better.

I'm hoping the boys wont be dead keen on Wet 'N' Wild (I wasn't impressed myself) so we won't miss that from the Flex ticket, but even if they do wanna go, the saving on the other 2 passes will cover our entry, plus we get all the extra days at US and for Seaworld and Busch too.

We're down to under 7 weeks now, I'd better get my butt in gear and order some tickets !

Thanks again Mike.

Pleased it was some use , mate!

I got the link from www.Mousesavers.com

It's perfectly OK for Brits to use it , it's on the actual US/IOA site..........just a special offer they had.

I'd bet money the boys will hit US/IOA over WDW on thier last day.............. we did that last time, a 3 hour blast around the US/IOA parks ( no queues! ) and a break for coffe and food at The Crescent Moon ( best pastries/cakes etc in US ) before heading back to Sanford.

We don't fly back until 7.30 p.m. this time , so an even better blast looks in order.

Cheers
mike

Well Mike, we've had a slight rethink now.

Given that we'd have to use up all 5 days of the US/IOA pass consecutively from the day of first use, that kinda restricts us from going late on or on the last day of the trip, 'cos as things stand the plan is to go to US or IOA for New Years Eve, so the 5 days would be over by Jan 4th - we're in town till the 11th...

And as one of the boys has said he definitely wants to go to Wet 'N' Wild, we're back to the 5 park Orlando Flex Ticket. That includes entry to W 'N' W and, as you know, will give us 14 days unlimted access to US, IOA, Seaworld and Busch Gardens. For an extra £20 or so, thats gotta be worth it. I can see additional short visits to US, IOA and Seaworld going onto our itinerary...

So it looks like Ticketmania wil be getting an order for 4 Orlando Flex 5 park tickets and 4 WDW 4 day Park Hopper Plus tickets. We aren't doing AK, so 4 days and the one plus - for Typhoon Lagoon - will cover us nicely.

I'm waiting for a reply to an email I sent them. I know Ticketmania sell the 4 day PHP but it's not listed on the website - I'm just waiting to hear how I go about ordering them - do I have to phone or what ?

Man, it's easy to spend £ 1050 huh ? ;)

Ok, I got a reply from Ticketmania, with a link to the page we needed to access to book the 4 day PHP's. It's the page that they use to offer special discount/tickets to subscribers to the Mousesavers.com email newsletter, which I actually subscribe to but didn't think to check - it's not accessible from the site itself, but as they sent me the link not knowing or asking whether I subscribe to the newsletter, I guess actually anyone can use it.

Anyway, seeing the options prompted another slight change of plan. They do the 3 day PHP at $175 pp, so we've gone for that ! We have no intention at all of going to AK, so we don't really need a 4th day, and we still get the plus to use for either Typhoon Lagoon or DisneyQuest. I very much doubt we'll have time to get back to the 3 other WDW parks with everything else on our schedule, so it works for us.

The 3 day PHP's come in at $40 ahead cheaper, so that saved us a nice round £100 to put towards our retail therapy !:)

Anyway, our order is finally in - 4 Orlando Flex 5 park tickets, and 4 WDW 3 day PHP's, grand total $1540, around £950. They should reach us around the 22nd according to Ticketmania. YAY !!

So far it's the only thing we've paid out for that we are actually gonna get paper in our hands for - our BA tickets are issued on departure when I produce the confirmation email, and the condo was booked online, also all thru emails. I much prefer the old days of getting tickets and stuff, much more exciting...

As a matter of interest, the page has a few other nice offers, such as a great big reduction on adult DisneyQuest tickets, from $33 to $21, and a few others along with the 3 and 4 day PHP's. In case anyone else would like a gander, here's a link :

We have just come to the same conclusion as you Beejayjay.

3 day PHP and 5 park Flexticket. We ordered our tickets through Ticketmania last year, and had them delivered direct to our hotel.
Excellent service.

Like you I have booked our holiday entirely online. BA E-ticket, and hotel booked direct through the hotels website. About to order Town Car for trip from MCO to International Drive, also online. (Probably Florida Tours)

I have also followed your link on travel insurance. Will check this out as far as I can as they are based in Chichester where I work.

Happy Holiday

CArol

Thanks for that link Beejayjay. A 3-day park hopper was exactly what I was looking for and I've also subscribed to the mousesavers newsletter which will hopefully save me some more money.

One thing though. You mentioned this:

I noticed you can't use the plus option on Disneyquest though, only the waterparks and pleasure island.

Also: Typhoon Lagoon - closed for rehab December 14, 2003 - February 28, 2004

However, Blizzard Beach is open during that time. I actually wanted to go to Typhoon Lagoon when I'm there in Jan, but looks like I'll have to go to Blizzard Beach now.

Ant.

Hi Ant,

You're right, I meant Blizzard Beach, I know Typhoon Lagoon is closed for refurbishment when we are in Disneyville.

I hadn't realised that DQ wasnt an option with the 3 day PHP, but we intend to use the Plus to go to Blizzard beach anyway as that's more costly than DQ. And Ticketmania do a discounted DQ ticket thru that same mousesavers.com link page...

For anyone thinking of using Ticketmania, we ordered our four 3 day PHP's and 5 park Orlando Flex tickets last Wednesday 12th, and they arrived either Monday or yesterday (not sure which as my lass and I were in Barcelona, very nice city !) - maximum of 6 days from order to delivery - Not too shabby from Orlando !

At last some actual paper proof that we are going. The boys saw the tickets, and are finally starting to get excited, deciding who gets what ticket - Mickey, Goofy, etc - what bedroom in the condo, which seat on the plane...

Just over 5 weeks now... :hyper:

Yeah, those DQ tickets are great value. I've ordered a couple of them along with the 3-day passes and from the sounds of it I won't have long to wait for them!

I bought a Universal annual pass in MArch this year for $99. I bought it in the food court at the big designer shopping mall (sorry can't remember the name!)
