Universal Hotel advantages

Hi All

Anyone know if a night is booked at one of Universal hotels are you able to take advantage of the front of line pass using hotel room key card on both arrival day and leaving day. So if we checked in at 3 on a Wednesday and left on the Thursday could we use the key card for fast pass from 3 on Wednesday until we leave hotel on Thursday.

Hubby had open heart surgery early this year and although fit and well now I am trying to see if I can reduce queuing times and wondered if this would work.

Yes, you are able to get the Unlimited Express privileges on both the day of check-in and day of check-out. A lot of people check in as early as possible on the first day as you are then also able to take advantage of the early entry to Islands of Adventure for wizarding World of Harry Potter. At the moment, onsite hotel guests also get early entry to Universal for the new Despicable me ride, although I don't know how long that will continue.

Yes as above, you don't just get the unlimited front of line pass (as opposed to only one use per ride) when buying the FOL pass on it's own but you also get 1 hour early entry on both days to get in before the rest of the guests arrive So you can head to the mot popular rides then without having to queue

Were just back from staying at HRH. You will be entitled to all perks. Once you check in their are booths which tske your photos this will act as your FOTL passes.

Our stay to be honest was a big disapointment, room aircon didnt properly, bathroom dirty not cleaned. Received invoice when I left and they had charged us again for room. IOA main rides seem to develop a malfunction , hulk, spiderman then when fixed stopped again due to weather...lol

Have never stayed at Hard Rock Hotel but have stayed at Royal Pacific Resort and it really is a beautiful hotel. No complaints from us at all

I have two Teens following rock bands and they would love to stay at HRH. I've been looking for other reviews on the forums but no one else seems to have had a bad experience.

As we are in a villa off site for the rest of our holiday I have to justify staying at HRH due to extra holiday cost so just trying to convince myself it a good buy.

we loved the HRH hotel, it was lovely and clean, everything worked ok for us.
I wished we'd spent a bit more time there to actually enjoy the hotel.

The only things I didnt like
Took ages to check in and out- Only 1 person in front but still took at least 20 mins.
There wasnt much seating in the shop/counter service area for breakfast.
we had checked out and then had breakfast, If I had know Id had eaten breakfast in the room.

Quick question, you can't check in until a certain time but can you drop your stuff off before then to take advantage of the early entry?

We have stayed on previous ocassions at Hard Rock Hotel and Royal Pacific Resort.
This July was our longest stay at 7 nights at Royal Pacific Resort.

Apart from the lovely hotel and proximity to the parks the main advantage of stay in a Loews Hotel is the 1 hour early entry to Island of Adventure in order to get to Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the FOTL access.
Instead of using your room key you go to a kiosk to get your photo taken which is then printed on your Hotel Express Pass. The Team members scan the barcode on the pass each time you go through the Express Line.

I know some feel the cost of the hotel does not justify the benefits. However we would consider a stay without staying on-site at Universal as disappointing. We have stayed 2 nights, 3 nights and 7 nights and always try to stay at one of the Resort hotels

Hard Rock was a favourite for the first 2 visits but we have grown to love the Royal Pacific Resort. Hopefully we will get a chance to stay at Portofino so we can compare them all

Quick question, you can't check in until a certain time but can you drop your stuff off before then to take advantage of the early entry?

Yes you can. You can check in as early as 7am, leave your bags with Bell Services and head off to the parks then come back later when your room is ready

There were folks checking in at 6am on some mornings so they could get their room keys, express passes and then onwards to 7am early entry at WWoHP
