Hi there.

Travelling from the UK and I've already got and just renewed my IBCCES card.

Last time they called to speak about our requirements but this time even though we put in a date when we will be arriving at the park I don't seem to have any emails stating they will contact me nearer the time? Is it suggested I email them or can I just go up to the customer services desk with my IBCCES card and discuss requirements? I don't want for there to be any delays.

Also, it's the first time we are doing 14 days unlimited tickets. Any tips for things to bring. I remember seeing people before with lanyards on with their tickets. Are there any special ones to get which are useful? Or any other things which may help our days with autistic guests.

Thanks so much

It is my understanding that if you keep your IBCCES card up to date without it expiring (renewing before the expiration date) then the accommodations will renew along with the IBCCES card. You will not be contacted again by Universal. You will need to go to Guest Services and give them your AAP case number you got in an email from Universal after your interview to get your card for this trip.

I also should add that I think there is a special line for people that already have a case number so you don't have to wait in the general GS line with people who will take up much more time doing their interview or other matters. I haven't been there since this addition, but I read it's a separate line at some of the GS locations. I'd ask if you don't see it because the regular GS line can be so slow and can be hard on the people seeking the accommodation.

I can confirm what the previous poster stated: your case number from the first convo is still active as long as your ibcces card is. If you are nervous about it, look at your online ibcces card. There should be two numbers on it. One is the card number, the other is your universal case number.

When you get there, just go to guest services and show them your ibcces on phone and they’ll issue your paper pass for this trip. Make sure to go to the dedicated ibcces line, it’s much faster!

As to autism in the park, I assume you have been before? What strategies did you use then?
With such a long trip, I highly recommend a break from early afternoon to early evening. The crowds then are extreme as well as the heat. Also, take it easy and plan breaks, don’t sweat it so much if some days you only spend an hour or two in the park.

Will you have ExpressPass? If the answer is yes, you will want a lanyard that has a clear/transparent or partially clear/transparent pouch (it's mostly flat and credit card sized). The reason it needs to be clear is to make it easier for people to scan your ExpressPass.

I didn't noticed the case number is on the card! Thanks for that info.
