Universal being bashed by Disneyites!!

The commercial is even running up here. It is very cute and innocent.

Don't worry, Barry, I posted my 2 cents over there.... :p

I think these come along once a year... for some reason Disney people feel that they HAVE to bash something that puts down their precious place. Their loyalty amazes me .... I guess I don't get it.

I like what I like, to each his own.... whatEVER.

nuff said.

I see the Universal commercial EVERY 2 MINUTES!!!! It's killing me!!! Hehe. It's just a constant reminder of how far away Sunday is!!

Ya, ya, keep rubbing it in:(

I've been seeing the commercial alot here in Kansas too. Really gets the blood going.
By the way, I did my post over on that "bash Universal" thread. Sorry, couldn't help myself ;) .

IOA Spiderman ride can not be beat. I have been to Disney at least 8 times and I have not seen anything compare to that ride. I love that ride. I happen to love both places.

IOA and US more my speed. Disney is my mom speed.

To tell you truth I can go Orlando and not visit any amusement or theme parks.

You let me see the outlet malls, flea markets, an malls. I am heaven.

I like to vacation in other places to. I don't like to limit myself.

Geez Spidey, where you been? We've all been picking up the slack of defending the Studios without you.:p

I have to say I am sooooo proud of you guys!! There is a major change in the posts in that thread!! :bounce::bounce:

What annoys me about the thread is the filty bathrooms and obscene writings on the wall. I've been to many Universal bathrooms and I've never seen a filty one or any questionable writing. Obviously, these people have never been to a Six Flags park or even a gas station bathroom! :)

I think many Disney-ites see everything through Disney-colored glasses. Everything has to be Disney or have a Disney name on it to be good. Personally, I think Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO outbeats Disney in terms of customer service and fun. Imagine that -- the home to Yakov Smirnoff is better than Disney! :)

**snicker**

I don't know, it's all sort of funny to me. I've never seen the crude writings either....as I'm sure if someone did, it was cleaned up. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if those "crude writings" were actually ones THEY wrote, so they could complain about the parks uncleanliness....LOL ;) :p

Maybe I should write up a weekly report on the park...ask employees a random question...see how they react...check out bathroom stalls for cleanness...

Whatever happened to Barry's restroom updates, w/ pics? (or was that just the hotels?)

My only complaints ever were no urinals in the ladies rooms. But I'll bring my Sharpie with me this week-end!
Jim

Jim!! LOL!

I have never seen the dirty bathrooms either, I think it's an idiotic thing they like to bring up every now and then.

Get on with your lives, it's just a PARK!!! I WISH this was my only concern in life!

I'm throwing in a comment without reading all the earlier posts, so if I'm repeating someone, my bad (sorry, my lunch break is almost over, and I still need to hunt for Mummy info).

Disney would love for Universal to go off somewhere and die. Universal wouldn't lose sleep if a 47 square mile sinkhole opened up a coupla miles down the road.

But as fans of parks, we NEED both parks. If Universal wasn't in Orlando, Disney wouldn't have to work as hard as they do. If Disney wasn't around, Universal wouldn't have to work as hard as they do.

Would Universal be building a Mummy coaster if Orlando didn't need a fresh Mission:Space killer (maybe a bad example, since Mission:Space seems to have killed itself, or at least projectile vomited all over itself)? Maybe, maybe not. Kongfrontation wasn't broke - why bother putting in new stuff?

The competition between the two parks only benefits parkgoers. So if the Disney folks don't like Universal, fine and dandy. If the Universal folks don't like Disney, hey, that's cool too. But there has to be a level of respect amongst the groups. Without the other company (no matter how much a person may hate them), the company they love would get away with being lazy and not making the experience better.

Me? I love 'em both. If the Disney Annual Pass was priced as nicely as the Universal AP, I'd have one of them too.

Good point! :wave2:

Yes, those Disney people should be so grateful for us:p

I swear I'll be hunted down and shot by one of those Disney people! Those people are evil!!
 I'm a "DISNEY" people" (Disney-ite, etc.), and I'm NOT EVIL!!~Each summer, I split my vacation stay between Universal and Disney! We have been doing this for as long as we have been traveling to Orlando. With the inception of the PBH, we have faithfully stayed on Property at this resort for at least 5 eves each summer, and purchased passes to each park for our Length of Stay. We LOVE U. Studios!! After all, we have the original park just down the road here in So. Cal.

So, please....do not generalize. :(

I am as much a UNIVERSAL person, as I am a DISNEY person. I love ALL theme parks (Sea World, Busch Gardens, etc.), and enjoy visiting each one. ::yes::

The only negative comments I've ever received while in either park, were from US IOA associates. They jokingly told me to leave, or buy another shirt (DISNEY theme). I laughed along with them, and was not in the least offended. I have worn other theme park shirts in WDW, and no CM has ever made a comment. Not even joking. ;)

I LOVE the US & IOA commercials...and the WDW ones too. Please, do not execute/persecute or annihilate me because I like BOTH companies/parks & resorts. I've never seen so much animosity on a DIS thread. Universal Studios has nothing to be "defensive" about. It can definitely stand on it's own...next to the BIG BOYS. It's been in the game a LONG time, and is not going anywhere...anytime soon. :teeth:

Just my OHO & measley Disney-ite/Universalite.....02 cents!

I apologize if that comment offended you, dreamflight99...but I guess you missed my other comment:

The cool Disney fans visit here and have an appreciation for the differences of Universal and Disney. (You know who you are...you people rock!!)

I know not all Disney fans are evil ;) I just know there are a few on the DIS who are! lol! :smooth:

BTW - LOL damo!!!!!!
