Universal and Wheelchair Question~Please help!

Okay. We have never been to Universal Orlando. My mom has an electric scooter. At Disney they have seperate lines for handicap people to go through, and usually they get on pretty quickly as well as the people in her party. Is Universal like that? Can family members get on with the handicap person? Thanks for all your info!
