2 of us went in feb, we bought the meal plan, and had a refillable cup, it was WELL WELL worth it, admit it, your on vacation, you stop and eat all the time, the pizza at Louis (i think) was unbelievable.......i seen couples paying anywhere from $30-$40 bucks for 2 people, with kids I seen $70, for one meal only..............go for it, you cannot lose, your on vacation!

agree..........louie's is soooooooooo good.
on hhn nights, no meal deal.
i pay for my 4 slices through out the night there for my pizza......

and the ifff has great fruit plates.........besides other things.

thanks for sharing your experience there.

I agree with ya on Louie's they had the best pizza and well worth the price you have to pay :goodvibes

Here is my question - During our last two visits, some of the restarants were really packed. I some realized it was the restaurants offering the meal deals. So were the restaurants full because of the awesome food or because of the meal deal. I will assume that Louie's is ful because of the great pizza but how about the other places. Also, do the lines move fast because we opted to keep walking until we found someplace with a shorter line. I suppose I should note that the Brazilian tour groups were abundant during our July 4th trip and just one of those groups could fill up a restaurant.

Agree...the fruit plate is wonderful! We liked the meal plan to taste a little of everything! Louie's..yummmm.....

I agree Louies had THE BEST pizza...but had anyone noticed that the Louies workers were not the nicest of the tm's? They always look bored and not interested at all in being there and could care less what you wanted.

I bought my ds the meal deal one day and he took it off while swimming (i had no idea he did this). I still had the receipt and Monsters let me go by the receipt, but Louies employees were very rude (the manager the rudest) about it. I said dont worry I'll pay for it. I wanted to complain to guest services but I did feel it was our fault for losing the armband. I just dont like the way I was treated...like i was trying to be sneaky and get something for free. I even had the credit card I used to pay for the darn thing, that matched the receipt...

dont even get me started on those Brizilian tour groups....
We were there for the forth and so was the entire teenage population of Brazil. Horrible manners some of them.:sad2:

I'm glad you liked it.

We didn't mainly because it was too limiting as far as the restaurants and the type of food. Oh! the lines were awful at those restaurants - (YEP, we experience the Brazil & a couple of camp groups).

I agree that Louie's has good pizza BUT we've been spoiled living in the NYC area where you can get even better pizza than there - sorry!

We loved the food at the RPR so when we go in 2010 we'll be doing most of our eating there and CityWalk! LOVED Latin Quarter and Emeril's.

Just my opinion!

I'll continue this off topic discussion on the Brazilian grops. We were also there July 4th weekend. On July 4th we went to US. On July 5th, DH and I headed out earlier than the rest of our family to meet them at IOA. We got off the boat around 10 AM and there was a wall of people coming from the parking lot to IOA. Seriously, it was a wall and it looked like it was never ending. It reminded me of the worst crowds Ihave seen at WDW. The wall of people were color coordinated with their T-shirts and I realized I forgot all about the Brazilian groups that are in strong force in July. There was less than a trickle headed to US. We walked over to the gates and the lines were huge!!! We figured it would take us at least 20 minutes to get through the gates. We looked behind us and saw the lines continuing to grow. We decided cal the kids to tell them to stay at the hotel and we headed back to the hotel to make it a pool day. I don't know if they had express passes but we weren't going to chance it. Guests at PBH were later talking about the crowds at IOA that day so we were happy we came back. We went to IOA on the 6th and the park was a breeze with FOTL that day!

Back to the meal deal, if you buy it at guest services at IOA or US will you get a discount if you show an AAA card? If so, what is the % off?

Thank you

Thank you for the info. I think we will get it for one day as a family Christmas present from "santa" .

We will only get the one park meal deal.

Can someone please tell me which park they prefer getting it at and why?

Thank you

universal for the pizza at louie's......
and at ifff

do i hear an echo in here?

We only got the one park meal deal for US. We looked at the choices and that park had more of what we wanted to taste!

We haven't tried the meal deal and not sure if it would be a good deal for us. We always have pizza at Louie's, but we get the whole large pizza for the 4 of us. It works out to about $20 I think.

Where can I find information on the cost of the meal plan, and what restaurants participate?

If I get a 1 day Meal Deal it costs me $20 & I get 1 slice at Louies & a dessert? Doesn't sound like a deal -- What am I not understanding?:confused3
