It's been a busy weekend. Nothing really new to report as of now, but I'm sure I'll be making some sort of change before too long.
I actually like my plans though and am trying not to change anything as of now.
I am still waiting on a custom made outfit though. It was supposed to take 6-8 weeks, and still nothing (at close to 3 months) and I think she is giving me the run around now. When I last talked to her, she acted like I would have it sometime last week.
This is so frustrating.
I am "looking" at a few dresses again too. But I am trying to be good right now. We'll see if I cave.

I'm happy to say that the outfit that I ordered way back on May 6th has FINALLY arrived. This was such a hassle, and I will not be buying from that seller again. I was told 6-8 weeks after I made the payment. I am not a patient person, but in reality I didn't NEED them immediately, so I waited. At around 6 weeks I asked how it was going and got no response. At around 8 weeks, again I asked with no repsonse. So I finally pm'd her via facebook and asked again around 10 weeks. She said she had been working on stuff that needed to get out sooner, and I told her I really needed them earlier than I thought now and if she couldn't, I would like a refund. So she said it would be done over the weekend. And that came and went. I finally got an paypal notice that the shipping label was made. And I tracked it...but it was never shipped. Again after a week or so I contacted her and she said her DH had surgery and she hadn't been to the post office yet. I was really close to filing a claim with my credit card. This was just unacceptable to me. She should've told me from the start yes, she could make it, but it would be about 6 -8 weeks...and then got it out by then or let me know she was running behind.
Well it arrived yesterday, and we do like it and I am glad it came. But I will be more picky and do more research before I buy from someone again.
It also had a smell of being in a closed up package for awhile, so now it's airing out. Not a bad smell, but still not fresh.
Claire has not tried it on yet. I hope to get it on her today and take a picture. It is very cute!
So glad that is over with and no more worries.

Well I wanted it...but if I had known from the start it was going to be 6 - 8 weeks, I would've probably passed on it...an if I had known all the trouble it would take to actually get it, I never would have ordered it.

Here is the outfit.

I do think it's cute, but I was told by another friend that this seller doesn't always do great work...and I can tell. The seam for the waist is on one side of the skirt and the seam for the trim is on the complete other side. I would think she would've tried to make them both on the same side.

the biggest relief is that I did get it and didn't lose any money.

That is a cute outfit! I had kind of hoped to buy a machine and make some things for the girls for our November trip. But this new job keeps me so busy and tired I don't think I'm going to get into that madness!!!!!!

I wish I could sew...but that is one skill I never even slightly learned. I do remember my Mom sewing basic things on a machine when I was very little, but it must've not been her thing, because she gave it up fast.

I am glad that new job is keeping you hopping though! It wil lmake your trip all the better to get away!

Congrats on getting your passport! We got ours last year and it makes me want to use it as much as possible I am sure that when the expiration date comes around I will be able to convince DH we need to take another trip just due to the fact that they expire.


Too bad you let it slip that you were staying at AKL. I have such a hard time keeping things a secret because I love to talk about my plans. She is going to be so excited when you check in.

I can't wait to hear what you and Claire thing about the SOA show. Did you ever try the BBQ? That looks so cute.

Things are getting a little exciting!
A few weeks back I found out that one of my co-workers, Stephanie, is going to be down at Disney with her trip overlapping mine. We both are doing the MNSSHP the dame day. So of course we do plan to try and meet up. I have never met her in real life yet, since we all work online.
Then yesterday another co-worker, Jeanne, who I have mentioned every so often, told me she is also going to be at that party as well. I am so excited to meet up with her as well.
Then our Boss, Michelle, caved yesterday and bought a flight down because of the southwest sale. She is still not 100%, but I do hope she goes and goes to the pary as well...as there will be another meet.
And then this morning I saw a message from one more co-worker, Lynne, and she is going to the same party as well....AND she is sailing the Dream the same dates as I am as well.
I am very excited for all these potential meets!

I know. I feel like I should get as much use out of it as possible. Only time will tell.

She stil lis asking where we are staying, so if she knows, she is doing a good acting job. She is trying to get me to tell her without realizing it again. But I do think she has some sort of idea...not sure if she has put it al ltogether, but she asked if we were staying in a park the other day.

I have not been to the BBQ yet. I have looked at it over the years, but the timing is always off. The dates they do it, never seem to line up with my plans.

I am so happy that outfit arrived. Now we just wait to actually wear it!
