Nice room! Did you ever figure out what the big slingshot thing was? It looks like the one on Hwy. 192 in Kissimmee.

Jen - I think flights everywhere are outrageous now; my daughter wanted to fly out to San Diego to visit her cousin; the lowest flight was around $400 and we looked at just about every airline.

I found your rogue post. At least it's in one of my threads. ;)
I think it was a bundy slingshot type thing, though I never really looked at it close enough to see it in action.

Isn't it awful. I am half tempted to drive if I have to pay that much. Though I really hate driving that far. Especially by myself.

So the plan right now is to fly in on Nov. 3, which is a Sat. I am hoping to get an earlier flight and get to Orlando around 12 or 1 PM. Delta has some good flight times....there prices suck though right now.

We are going to rent cars and drive over to the port area and stay at the Residence inn there.

I am hoping we can get ther in time to see the Fantasy pull out. I want to wave from the beach or park to it! I need directions on where exactly that is though.

I'm sure we'll take the kids swimming at the pool, and amaybe even at the beach as well. This will be kind of a lazy day..I hope.

ripool.jpg

And with luck we'll get to bed at a decent time. Hopefully I'll sleep better this year.

Claire and I are sharing a room with my parents. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds. Last year we had a room with one king and a pull out couch. My parents slept on the couch and said it was absolutely horrid.

I get excited just thinking about it, but I still have 7 months to go!

Love your plans! Let me know if you need directions to Jetty Park, no problem, we always drive out there to watch the ships sail out. :thumbsup2

Guess since you already seem to have your plans in place for November I should get a move on with mine for August/September. :rotfl2:

I will probably ask for those! Thats the best place to watch, right?

Have you seen this purse? I wonder if it will be available online. It sounds like only at DL... I WANT it.

If any of you win the lottery.....I know the perfect gift to get me.

rdv302890SMALL.jpg

Along with a trip to show it off of course! :rolleyes1

It's at the very end of the channel - and has a long pier going out onto the ocean. We love watching from there! :thumbsup2

And YES, unfortunately I have seen that one! I would love it! And we pushed back our trip to DL :scared1: :lmao:

Hoping for the Disney store to sell it!

Hey I just got the cartoon one ........ one day I won't have any more space to put them all. :rotfl2:

Great. I WILL get on the Fantasy some day! I have to see her though soon! :cloud9:
I am holding back buying anything, but man...that is so darn cute!

It's gonna take quite a few pennies. :rolleyes1

It looks like it's gonna be one of those more expensive patterns too, like the 40th anniversary bags were.

Happy Easter Everyone!

yes, I stole this picture from Karin...isn't it so darn cute?

Going on with plans......

Day 2 will be Nov. 4th. Our sail date. I'm sure I'll be up at the crack of dawn. I can't sleep well on vacation, mostly due to all the excitement. At home.. I can take 2 or 3 naps a day if you let me. ;)

I'm sure I'll be one of the first up with my gang. I'll most likely go for a walk and get some breakfast.

buffetbreakfast.jpg

After awhile, I'll get Claire up. And we'll get ready and she'll get a bite to eat as well.

heartbag.jpg

Last trip on the Dream, Claire got a daily gift from a character. I am thinking of NOT doing that this time. It was kind of hard for me to remember to leave it out daily...especially as the trip went on. And this trip is now looking to be at least 10 days long. Also with other kids in our party, I don't plan on doing this for all of them, as it could get costly, so I don't want them to feel left out either. I did tell Claire already that she shouldn't expect to get little gifts this time because it's too hard for the characters to give a gift to each when you have a large group.

We'll be antsy to get to the ship. It would be nice if we get a room with a view like we did last time, but if we don't, thats fine too.

lookingforrain.jpg

I am hoping we get an early boarding time. I will be going crazy waiting to get on the ship.

Eventually we will head over. I am still working this out, but we will have 4 vehicles to turn in. I am thinking the best thing would be to drive over to the port and drop off everyone and the luggage and then 1 person per vehichle take them back to Hertz and shuttle over to the port. This makes the most since to me.

dreamatportc4.jpg

We'll get checked in and ready for a busy day.

checkinsign.jpg

Hopefully we'll see a few characters hanging out.

mycamerapose.jpg

Once we board, we'll see where they direct us for lunch...but my choice is Cabanas!

cabanassign.jpg

dreamdesserts1.jpg

You know I'll be having some of these!!!

bestcookiesever.jpg

Ok, I'll have some normal food too.

lunchondream.jpg

Hopefully it won't be raining today. Last year our boarding day was non stop rain, which made exploring the decks a bit hard to do.
If it's nice, we may head to the pool area till our rooms are ready.

donaldspool.jpg

The slide was a big hit with Claire last year.
mickeysslidehand.jpg

Maybe we'll even hit the.......

aquadon.jpg

When the time arrives, we'll go to our cabins and drop off the carry ons and check out or new digs for the next few days.

Claire and I have our own room this trip, but we should be connecting to my parents room.

thecouch.jpg

to be continued.......

Great plans so far, Jen! You are so far ahead of me and going so much later! :rotfl2: Guess I will have to get a move on.

Last year we returned our rental car to Hertz as well. We dropped off the luggage and they even offered that I went ahead and checked us in, but we decided to just drive to Hertz together (VERY short drive) and there was a shuttle already waiting. We were back on the ship in no time - works a charm after the cruise as well. (Just lots more luggage)

And it is YOUR choice where you are heading for lunch .... both will be open, Enchanted Garden AND Cabanas. So there won't be a problem for you to fill up on yummies there.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for NO rain!

Good to know, It's really hard planning this far out. For me, not having flights and planning is kind of scary. It will all work out though

WHAT!?! Only one picture of the AquaDuck!!!:rotfl2:

I like the "no gifts this time" set up. I'm not going to be doing extra gifts this time around. We plan on doing it big next year, so we'll save the presents for that.

Are you all going to be doing special shirts for this cruise?

So far....... :rotfl2:

Yes, we have a boarding shirt already. Well for my family, I have to get the cousins sizes so I can do one for them too.

After we check out our rooms we'll do whatever we feel like. Explore the ship, look for characters, etc till its time for the muster drill and head off there.

After the Muster drill we'll head to the deck (hopefully it's not raining this time!!!!) And watch the sail away party.

If it's raining, we already know the drill...go to the Atrium.

partygoofyandpluto.jpg

chipthepartyguy.jpg

I plan to watch us sail out this time as well....and with luck, I'll get that wish. We had left late last cruise because of the rain. The sail away party was late (and in the Atrium) and then when we started to sail ,it was no big deal, all of a sudden we were sailing. We were just heading down to the show and noticed us moving. Sadly we had to get going or miss the show, but no one was along the shore waving to us with the rain and it being so late.

pullingoutofport.jpg

We have early dinner this time, not by my choice. I liked having late dinner last trip and at home we eat late usually as well. My sister and my cousin both wanted that to get their little ones to bed early...they don't have the party animal blood in their kids like Claire has.

I have no clue where dinner will be since we don't find out till we board, but heres a little food porn from Enchanted Garden.

lobsterravioli.jpg

nysteak.jpg

After dinner we'll probably shop a bit then head to the show.

And BTW, they no longer allow any picture taking in the shows, which totaly bums me out.

After the show. we'll bum around. Maybe get a snack, go on the AD or take a swim.

And then collapse into bed after a very busy day!

Wohoo! Cruise plans!
I love to hear them.

And I hope it won't rain again when you sail out. There are usually lots of people at Fishlips and at Jetty Park waving.
If you by any chance have Captain Gus as your captain, then you will be in for a treat. ;) He loves the Mickey whistles and we heard them quite often.

I love all your photos of the ship and the show. Bummer they don't allow photos any more, but people were a pain when we last went to a show. Flashes everywhere. :sad2:

Can't wait to hear more of your plans. :goodvibes

I hope the rain stays far away this trip.
We didn't have a lot of horn action last year and when we did, I was never quick enough to record it most of the time...and when I did...I lost the card. :p

I think part of the reason is the screens too. Many people found that distracting as well. I still think if you can turn off your screen you should be allowed.
