Universal Adventures of Dreams AND Magic, and an expanding World!

I know I'm slacking on my planning updates....so before I go on with the cruise days...I am going to tell you about what my new flying down plan is.

Yep, already making changes. It's been brought to my attention that it appears the last Halloween party at WDW is going to be held on Nov. 2. Well my plan is to fly down the 3rd, possibly the 2nd if I got a good rate.

No "great" rates are out yet, but I can fly out of Columbus on Southwest for a decent rate...and change it to a lower price if it drops. on the 2nd. I talked to my sister in Columbus and she said she would be happy to have Claire and I come down the night of the 1st and spend the night and then take us to the airport at the buttcrack of dawn...YES... the flight LEAVES at 7:20 AM. I have never flown out so early EVER, but then we could get to the resort, rest up, hopefully and go to the party in the evening. I am 99% sure I am going to do this.

I haven't booked a room ,and I think I will wait for now and see if any discounts come out, but most likely I'll stay at a value.
I have to double check, but I think I can take ME back to the airport then on the 3rd and meet up with the family and head over to the port area with them then and go on as planned.

I may never have a chance to go to MNSSHP again, so I might as well since it's seems to be perfect timimg.

I'm pretty excited about this.

You are going to LOVE MNSSHP! We have been twice and it was awesome. It definitely is worth the early flight. ;) Guess when ours leaves on Saturday ..... 6.05am! :rotfl2:

And NO, you are not too early checking flight prices, as I am already checking for February next year. :lmao:

BTW - Tom is going to scan the navigators. He didn't have time today, but HOPES to be able tomorrow. :goodvibes

I like that plan! I loved MNSSHP, and I am seriously looking forward to doing it again this year! I love flying Southwest for that reason, being able to get credit (which I can use on another trip) makes me happy :goodvibes

I love Claire's Island time outfit. Did you buy it recently, if so can you tell me where?

The mansion looks beautiful. Stinks about the snakes though:scared1:I don't even like to be in the same room with them when they are enclosed in cages or behind glass

How cool that you will be able to make it to MNSSHP. You will have a great time:thumbsup2

I've done the Halloween party twice and we love it! I don't think I will be able to again because of Rivers school if you miss 3 days you get an attendance intervention.

You keep adding to the magic. It sounds like this will be a very fun trip:dance3:

I answered everyone this morning...but it disappeared. UGH!

Thats one early flight.

I'm excited to try out MNSSHP. Now to figure out costumes. Tell Tom thanks and no hurry.

I am hoping the price does drop. I don't know if I should book now or wait though.

I got it at Gymboree but last year about this time. I would bet it's at one of the outlets this year if you have one near you.

I hate snakes!

I love adding the magic....I just hate paying for it. ;)

Lead, follow... it's all good!:cool1:

:lmao:

I would like to attend MMNSSHP, but doubt if we ever will. It's cool that you will be able to enjoy it.

Our flights usually are very early in the am. The getting up so early are not fun, but the arrival times are great. I like Air Tran's non stop flight to MCO. They have only one a day & it's early.

I hate snakes also, that is why we just took out our ornamental pond the other day. It was becoming home to garter snakes.

I don't like that I have to enter my user name & password every time to post on the Dis. I didn't have to do that before since I clicked on remember me, but it doesn't work anymore.:sad1:

I am ver yexcited to give this party a try. SW used to have 2 or 3 nonstops out of Columbus a day...but right now they only list 1, which is the crack of dawn. Which airport do you fly out of?

For the Dis problem...don't use Chrome for a browser. It still seems to be giving people problems... but do clear you cookies on whatever browser you use and it should help with that log in issue.

Day 2 of the cruise, which is now Day 4 of my trip........

This is the day we stop at Nassau.

As you know, I am an early riser on vacations. I have connecting rooms with my parents, so I'll leave our door cracked so if Claire wakes she can go in there and go off to take pictures of the ship.

This is such a peaceful and wonderful time to explore.

We are supposed to be in Nassau at 9:30, so I'll grab breakfast and try to wake sleeping beauty up so we can get off the ship.

Right now I am undecided on if we will do an excursion and if so which one. I am leaning towards doing the Atlantis Aquarium. Skip and I did this many years ago and enjoyed it.

I do want to try and shop around town a bit this time too. We'll see how things go.

I think my parents and other family members are going to do the city tour. Skip and I also did this, and though it's interesting, Claire would be bored out of her mind.

After a day of fun we'll head back to the ship. We'll see if there are any character meets and perhaps hit a few of those.

If the line isn't too bad, we might hit the AquaDuck as well.

Before too long it will be time for dinner. I am not super excited about early dinner. We eat late at home and we just have found we like eating later on the ship as well, but with the family going along, we had to do what worked best for them and we will have a couple of little ones who will need an early bed time.

The show tonight should be Villians Tonight. I was not a big fan of this show last time. I am not sure if I will go again or not, especially since DCL no longer allows you to take pictures at the shows. Claire, on the other hand loved it, so if I don't go, I'll send her off with family members who do go to see it.

We'll just hang out for the rest of the evening. Maybe take a look at the shops. Claire may go off to the kids club for awhile. If so, I might check out the bars. I never had much of a chance to do so last time.

There might be time for another late night swim too.

Then off to bed.

I vote for taking that early flight out so that you can go to the party. Like you said, you may not ever get to go to another party again so you might as well go for it!

Jen, we flew SW out of Columbus for our cruise in Feb. Our flight left at 6:40 AM, even earlier than yours! :scared1: But we loved it. We did a park and fly with one of the hotels nearby and left our cars there.

Columbus is almost as easy to get through as Toledo, but there's a few more concessions to stop and get a bite at than Toledo. We ended up doing an entire day at DHS after landing in Orlando, which was almost too much. Getting out was also a breeze afterwards, no long wait for luggage.

I got bit by your photo bug on our cruise! I woke up early just about every day and would explore the decks. The day we pulled into St. Maarten there were passing rain showers and i got a ton of pics of a rainbow and double rainbow with the island in it. I think i took 450 pics and video clips with my little digital cam. Nowhere near your numbers, but a lot for me!

I'm gonna do it! I booked the hotel and it's paid for. I haven't booked hte flight yet, but I will probably do it in the next day or 2.

I might be asking you questions about Columbus then! :thumbsup2
I like that we will be able to have up to 4 bags for free! It's now a 12 night trip and though I plan to do laundry, I know we'll have a lot to bring along an who knows how much to bring home. :rolleyes1

Yay for the Halloween party! Flying out of Columbus isn't bad. We did the stay in the motel & we could keep our car in the motel lot until we got back. That was very convenient. That airport has undergone some changes since we were last there, but it is a nice place with many dining options.

We are flying out of Dayton, it is ine of the easiest airports ever to get around in. Not a lot of food choices, but enough. No long walks to get to the gates either.

I don't know what chrome is, my browser is Windows Internet Explorer. I thought cookies are what kept one signed in.

I haven't looked at Dayton, It's closer, but still a ways away. Well probably not that much closer.

You need to clear those cookies and then sign back in and you should stay signed in then. It's something do to do with the new server and it's reading your computer is reading your old server cookies.

Sounds like the best of both worlds you get to be with Claire but have enough family there that you can go do some things on your own! 12 nights sounds great! 2 weeks would be my dream vacation but I gotta win the lottery for that:cool2:

I have never used the Dayton airport but I cant imagine that it is that large or difficult to get through. The Columbus Aiport is very easy to navigate. We got in after 1045 pm and had to drive to Dayton. Very well marked, easy to get through, plenty of food and rental car companies.
