Universal Adventures of Dreams AND Magic, and an expanding World!

I have dresses in the garment bag! I keep wanting to pack, but life keeps getting in the way...of course I'm not leaving in 13 days!!!

I totally missed this post.
I understand. I have everything laid out upstairs and no one uses the up stairs much, so I can sprawl out, but I sure have a big mess going on. I need to go and clean that up now. ;) You know, when I get extra time. :lmao:

I am so excited. This will definitely be a very different trip.

WOW!!!!!
My Mom was telling me last night how several years ago her and some friends went to Toronto for a weekend trip. For some reason, one of her firends thought it was just a day trip and only brought an extra blouse amd toothepast and brush.
So she said they had to search for underwear and a few other things to get her through the weekend. She said that wasn't bad, but the thing was her firend would only wear a certain kind of underwear, and that made it harder to find.

Haha I have done that too! Only it was more I wasn't planning on staying somewhere. I have learned that I am just so absent minded it is a given that I will need to buy something while I am away. Fortunately if I am in a pinch I will wear pretty much anything I can find. All I could find was a 3 pack of Mickey Mouse underwear. On my Cali trip last month I forgot my glasses, unfortunately I couldn't do much to remedy that one except walk around the hotel room blindly (I am quite near sighted).

It sounds like your bringing A LOT of luggage. But I guess you'll need a lot with a trip this long. Are you putting Claire's things in your bags or is she bringing her own suitcase?

I think we're going to have some good stories about your dadpopcorn::

7 days until you leave! Wow! I wouldn't want to have to haul that much luggage around! DS is getting better about hauling a suitcase, but my dear grumpy dad expects everyone to do it for him. He finally figured out that if he rents a cart at the airport or pays a porter at the rental drop off, we're all much happier!

Can't wait to see if you have any more Sea World Hotel lights out adventures, LOL:rotfl2: That one made me laugh so hard I cried!

You might want to also let your dinner server know about your dad not liking sauces. We found our regular server was excellent about remembering those kinds of things!:thumbsup2

I think my mom and I are headed your way today for a little "Hollywood" road trip! We used to go to Detroit around her birthday, but why drive 2 hours each way when we can now only drive one,:drive: and no smoking to boot!

You're welcome!:upsidedow

I have it packed so we some of each our clothes are in each bag. We have 3 big bags right now. She knows she has to help, but hopefully our handling of it will be minimal.
I'm sure we'll have something memorable from my dad. :rotfl:

I almost forgot about that incident! :rotfl2: I don't know if we can have something to compare to that one. :lmao:
I have not even been to the Casino yet. I think most of my family has, but we haven't made it there yet.

I decided this morning I better empty all my memory cards for my cameras. What a chore. I thought I had done this before the last cruise, but I guess I didn't. I still had some cards with our Universal trip on it as well as some summer events. They are cleared now and ready.

I ran to the store this morning to get a few more things needed for the house and a little something for a gift for one of my meet ups. I am probably going to meet up with several people along the way this trip and buying gifts for all could be super expensive, so I decided I am only buying small things for the kids. I have 3 official meets that I can remember of that include children. I would love to do more, but with Christmas around the corner, I have to be a it frugal. I found some cute things and I think I am done now with the gift shopping. I just have to through them in some sort of baggy and pack them.

I hope I haven't forgotten anyone.

I also realized I forgot to get some drano, which was one of the mai nreasons I went out. My stupid tub has a very slow drain this week. UGH> I am not going back, so it will have to wait I guess.

I did however make a stop at the Dollar General. The town I live near doesn't have a lot of selection of stores, this won out today to pick up some quick needed items. They carry a generic version of Legos. Claire is really into Legos right now. In fact she has told me she wants to spend all her money at the Lego store. I have told her 1 thing and thats it.

Anyways, I ended up picking up 2 sets of basic legos, one a fire truck with something like a small station and a Police car one with a small type station as well. Each were only $3.50. I wish they had more variety. Thats a great price, and they work with other legos too. I will save them for Christmas. I usually have almost all her shopping and b-day shopping done at this point in time. I have basically nothing for her. Only few things I have seen over the summer. I am such a slacker.

I'm sure the gifts will be appreciated...that is very sweet of you.

:sad2: to a slow moving drain...just what you don't need as you are trying to get ready for your trip.

Those Legos at Disney are expensive.

We always have trouble with drains, and Skip could care less. The shower/tub he uses has had issues from day one and he is the only who uses it, so I don't do much complaining. But mine I will.

Yes they are!

Waiting, waiting, waiting..............

I feel like jumping outta my skin!:yay:

We had to have our drain snaked not to long ago. With all the hair the plumber talked about, you'd think Kadence and I put our hair down there on purpose!:crazy2:

The 5 day boogie!!!

I can't wait. Now that it is Sunday I really feel panic. Holy crap I am going to Disney this week! :dance3: :jumping1:

Holy Cow. I am going to Disney this week!
The pressure is on now. I really need to go over all my things and get any last minute things rounded up or on a list.

As you all pretty much know, Skip is a vacation resistor. I have not mentioned much about the trip to him. He obviously knows I am going, as it has been planned for a year now, and he just doesn't say too much about it anymore. He did ask when I got back from Galveston how long it was till I left again.
Last night, we went out to dinner and a movie since Claire spent the night with my Mom and her cousins.
Skip started asking questions, which kind of shocked me.
He asked when we were leaving, and I told him we will fly out Friday, but Claire and I will be driving to my sisters on Thursday.
And he then asked when I was coming back. This is the thing I have never mentioned to him. I told him our flight was on the 14th. He looked like I might be crazy to be staying that long, but I keep thinking how short this trip is because there will just not be enough time with the crowds to get it all done. He didn't react though and asked when everyone else was coming home and I told him the 11th, but Claire and I needed som alone time to do things because I have a feeling the family will be dragging us down.
I told him about the one cousin who emails me daily asking questions. Some of them are kind of funny, like how do I get my curling iron through security. LOL.
So it went well last night.....knock on wood. No major reactions to the length I am gone. And he said he is so happoy he's not going because he thinks he would go crazy being with my family, especially my Dad for that long of a time. Ironcially he and my Dad are a lot alike in many ways. HA!
I did tell him that I bet I would have to deal with my Dad the most because I will be rooming near or with him most of the time.

In other news, Paige has broken up with her long time boyfriend. It's been a yo yo of emotions lately. They have been together for around 2 years and lived with each other for over a year now. She was the one who broke it off and it was a totaly shock for him. I feel so bad for him, and she was sure of her decision, for about 4 days and now there are tears. She's not sure what she wants. She also has started working a 3rd shift at her job and I think the lack of sleep and the time shift for her is making things extra hard for her as well. I asked her if she would like to come down to Florida with us. And she said she might, so we looked up flights for the days she could go. Sadly she would need to fly in on a later afternoon flight on a Friday and come back fairly early on a Sunday. That wouldn't aloow for much time there and the flights were over $300, some close to $400. For such a short time, it wasn't worth paying that much for her. Plus getting tickets.

So thats what has been happening here. Claire is jumping out of skin with excitement. I can't wait to go either, obviously. I think Claire may drive me mad by the end of the week. She woke up extremely early yesterday because she was excited about going to get a pumpkin to carve, I can only imagine who the rest of the week will go with Disney around the corner. Of course by the end of the evening yesterday whe ni dropped her off at my Moms, their were tears about simple things because she was over tired. And I am sure she didn't get a good nights sleep ther either. Another long day for us again.
