I get 2 free United Club passes a year. I have a connection in Denver in June that is 4.5 hours long, so I want to take advantage one of those passes.

As I read the rules, I see that dress must be according to a business environment. I will be alone, but normally travel in shorts and a collared shirt. Will I have to change into my dress pants or would I be ok in Denver with the shorts and polo shirt?

I have never used the United Club before, but might as well take advantage of it with this layover.

I have been in United Clubs while traveling on vacation just wearing a polo shirt and khaki shorts. Here are plenty of people present dressed this way. Should be no problem.

Dress codes at airline clubs are practically NEVER enforced. I am not a UA club member but there is one at the John Wayne Airport and I routinely see folks going in there in flip flops and shorts... and they don't come right back out LOL!

Delta's club, which I am a member of, has the same rules and I have never seen it enforced either LOL!

My DH and I were in sweats, and my kid was in PJs at the United Club in Honolulu. They didn't blink an eye. Wear what you like...well, within reason.

No problem with dress! We are members of United Club and use them frequently all over the world. I see people in suits and people in sweat pants. Maybe they might refuse you entrance if you had no shoes, or were shirtless, but other than that, we've seen almost everything. No worries!
