Does anyone find it REALLY hard to listen to any piece of music that comes from Soarin' after being away from Disneyland for a while?

Anytime I hear the Soarin' music, I get really emotional. Like sinking in my stomach.

I think it comes from mistakenly riding Soarin' last in 2006. Like possibly my worst idea ever. My and sister had to separate on single flyer passes (lol) and then I had to wait for her outside unload, and the music coming out of the theatre, made me so sad. When she came out, I think we were both bawling.

Soarin music = emotions for anyone else?

I find that I have some sort of emotional connection or association with almost every song or piece of music that I hear. When I say "emotional", I don't mean sad necessarily, but if I here a song from a ride when I'm back home, I'll think of the experience I had when riding the attraction. It's like when you hear a song that you used to listen to all the time and hearing it again after so long brings back all the old memories and feelings you had when first hearing the music. The music from Soarin' makes me think so much of DCA and the ride itself that I actually go out of my way NOT to listen to it if I'm not at Disney. It's too nostalgic for me otherwise. Splash mountain music is the same way. That's why music is so powerful. It has the ability to change our mood and perception of things. I like that though.

VERY much so.
I have ridden this many times and I have listened to the music HUNDREDS of times.
It is so beautiful and heart warming...and that ending. I can picture the scene when I hear it and even "feel" the return to earth.
But I DO listen to it very often on purpose. Not when I'm at work usually but certainly at home. I love bringing that magic feeling into my day :)
I listen to disney music nearly every day

sigh...
I am emotional with quite a bit of Disney music but this one is certainly up there!
Believe! There's magic in the Stars is a tear jerker for me because it is no longer around and when I saw it at DL it was a perfect and beautiful night.

I've only been on it once, I LOVED IT. Music made me enjoy it more, also the fact that one of the shots (I think it was the golf spot or the fields...) is shot from a area that's about a 10-15 minute drive from where I live.

I <333 California.

Oh yeah, I love the Soarin' music. I actually have it as my ringtone on my mobile right now. The tough part is having to answer my phone when it rings because I don't want the music to stop!

Funny you mention this...my 8 year old daughter can spot any Soarin' music and gets all emotional...too cute :)

My kids usually want to skip that song. But I really like it. The part of the music that gets me every time is where they show the aircraft carrier...

I also have soarin as a ringtone. I switch between that and HM everyother day. Makes me feel good.

Soarin is one of my ringtones as well. :thumbsup2 Each of my kids (teens) and my dh have a unique ringtone when they call me. They each chose what they wanted it to be. So I have Fantasmic, Soarin, Splash, Screamin and Tiki Room. I have a hard time answering it some days too. :rotfl:

How does one aquire all those ring tones??

I just googled to find out how to make them from the songs I have and followed the directions. I also have a number of movies on the phone so when I get a break I watch those or just pull down video's from youtube to get my fix.
Just like to poster above, everyone in the family has their own distinctive ringtones.

Jack

Tracey, I use phonezoo or myxer to upload portions of the songs, then you can edit for timing purposes and send the song to your phone.

I have Soarin music as my ringtone for my dh. We both love that music, and he always knows why I don't pick up right away. ;) I also have the music from the Teacups as my main ringtone. Love it!

If you have a mac and an iphone you can used Garageband to easily create a ringtone from any music you have
You just drag in the track and then can export it as a ringtone to itunes and then put it onto the iphone
