Unique hotels

The Library Hotel is a really neat themed hotel in NYC, it's about a block from the big NY Public Library.

The floors/rooms are themed loosely based on the Dewey Decimal system. We stayed in the Ancient Languages room (4th floor because languages are in the 400s). The theme really only extends to the books and art in the room, but it was a really nice hotel, and I liked the theme quite a bit.

O...M...G!!! I am so taking dh there! we've never been to NYC and are talking about going next summer. The best part? He's a librarian! Thanks for the idea!

In Interlaken, Switzerland, I stayed in a small hotel that was like out a movie. It was 4 floors tall, with no elevator. The balcony of the room had a view of the Alps that was breath taking. It was August, but the mountains had snow on them. In the sitting room on the second floor they had a house cat. The cat slept on the couch and liked being petted. The hotel and setting was really special.
