unique codes in emails

my coworker just returned from Disney last week and received an email today for free dining with a "unique code" does this code have to be used by her and her family or can somebody else use it?

It has to be used by that family. It is tied to their name.

Usually offers like that are non transferrable. It should note that somewhere in the offer or fine print.
