I am freaking out a bit! We sail a week from today, and am wondering if we should change our packing plans. I was planning on bringing my iPad, all my books on it, but would hate to have anything happen to it, as it was a gift from my son, and engraved with a message from him. I have no problem bringing some paperbacks, but would sorely miss my iPad on the plane and in the hotel the night before. I DO have an old iPod Touch, but going back to that after using my iPad is like going from a Rolls Royce to a Model T, lol. DH is also planning on bringing his small laptop and 2 external hard drives for our photographs, and we are both bringing DSLR cameras and equipment. In stays at our DVC resort, DH cable locks his laptop to something in the room. We take general precautions, such as putting things out of sight. I always get nervous when thinking of the room being open when they clean, but in several Disney trips we have never had any problems. We do have
AAA trip insurance, not sure if it covers theft, but will find out. If my iPad will fit in the safe, as well as the external hard drives, I will feel better. Haven't locked our luggage in years, usually do zip ties, but think I will go get TSA locks. I take heart that many on the same cruise had no problems, and realize this may be an isolated incident, {so sorry, OP}, just hoping the safe will hold more than the room safes @ BLT. Anyone have a picture of the safes? Should I pack as planned, or not?

What would YOU do?
