SUNDAY OCT 25th

After we'd had enough sunshine (if thats possible), Mikey had some long overdue chicken strips., and i think Robin had a panini or something.
I think it was this day that Nancy and her son Tony had gone to the spa to get info on some stuff. Intrigued by it all, Robin and Nancy set up an appt to go back to the spa later. Now i'm not really sure of all what happened that afternoon ,(although i heard someone got the "church giggles") but there was a rumor going around later (and mind you, i have nooo idea where these rumors get started) that the girls had indeed recieved an Herbal enema. (i am of course just kidding)
Heres Robin and Nancy
or as i like to call them, Lucy and Ethyl

I thought, for sure, we were going to get kicked out of that seminar. ...and then the speaker asked if Nancy was ok. I thought I was going to lose it. I felt like I was in school again. (I was always getting into trouble for giggling!)

it was a lot of fun. i nearly killed myself, but at least we won.

as i recall, i got a lot of smoochers from the ladies too.

"No honey..."I don't need to go to the Dr.'s. There's nothing wrong with me". And here he sits with IV's in his arm.

Oh great memories. Loved that afternoon by the pool. It was so much fun. Wish we could do it all again.
What was Sean laughing at with Scott, Rick and Mike?

Oh she's taking care of me alright. Lets put it this way, she always makes sure the life insurance policy is paid.

MONDAY OCTOBER 26th

We were awake by 7 (again).
Robin likes to watch the sunrises and i like to shoot some morning hoops before Topsiders. Today i was joined by none other than the infamous Tuna.

We wore out the nets on that basket then headed to breakfast.

Now this is an All American breakfast. (and bonus...a hidden Mickey)
I went back for more bacon, but it seems a gentleman from WI had cleaned them out.

I believe it was this morning when Robin hurt her knee. We were just walking along deck 10, on one of those slopes, when a big gust of wind hit her just right and twisted her knee. She struggled with it the rest of the trip. (and for awhile after we got home).
We did go to guest relations and they gave her an ace bandage.
They have these signs for a reason.

We ran into a server of ours from our 2005 cruise. Subhash.

There was to be a Bobber meet at the Quiet Cove Cafe today at 3:00.
It was originally held in 2007 as a Strawberry Smoothie Meet for those who wernt into the margarita or wine tasting events help on the ship. It was such a success that a 2009 meet was scheduled.

Now let me make this perfectly clear. It was supposed to be a
Strawberry Smoothie meet, but you know how theres one in every crowd who just has to rock the boat. Well Heathers hubby Rick, who likes to go by GOS (grumpy old sod), decided he was going to order a Chocolate Smoothie!!! Thats just wrong!!

Sure enough, a lightbulb went off in Robins head. 2 kinds of Smoothies?? It was like the episode of Seinfeld when they talk about "2 kinds of Bobka(cinnamon and chocolate)
She was hooked on Chocolate Smoothies the rest of the cruise.

Anyway, we had a great time there. Although i'm sure the non-bobbers wernt too happy that we took over the "NOT SO Quiet Cove Cafe".

Heather turned Robin and i on to these little strawberry tarts and we picked some of them up whenever we passed by the Cafe.
Everyone should have a little Tart in their life from time to time. hehehe

After the smoothie meet, we went back to our cabin so Robin could begin working on a project. For the last few evenings during dinner, she and Heather had been commenting on how nice looking the men dressed in uniform were.

They began "rating" the officers from a 1 to a 10. Now its beyond me why the ladies would even look at another man when they had Rick and myself, but they seemed to be having a good time.

So Robin decided to make # cards and whenever a man in uniform would walk by, the girls would hold up a card.
I made a big mistake by asking one evening what number i'd get. Robin promptly held up a 2.

But we let them have their fun, because i was still searching for clues behind the Red Br@ FE. People were looking guilty, but no one would fess up.
So with the Captains permission, i started a cabin by cabin search, ala Cinderella, and had each of the Bobber ladies "try on" the br@.
I was a little surprised at the willingness of the ladies, and it definitely
was one of the highlites of the cruise. (I am however unable to post those pictures)
Why some of the ladies even offered to try it on 2 or 3 times. (you know who you are)

The arguing from the nearby cabin still hadnt stopped and we had decided that tomorrow we were going to ask for a new cabin.
We decided to relax that evening and we went to the theatre to watch the movie The Proposal. It was pretty good.
The movie wasnt over till 12:15. We had to laugh because at 12:00 you could see a lot of the parents who were in the theatre, got buzzed that it was time to pick up their kids from the "kids club".

I hate to cut in on this great trip report but as a first time cruiser in Feb. Can I ask about the lanyards? You commented on the colour in a previous post. Gold vs Silver. What is the significance and does DCL give these out or do we need to purchase them when we board to hold our KTTW cards? Thanksand Great trip report, I am enjoying it!!

i think they just started that program with the lanyards.
As soon as you complete your first cruise you become a silver member.
You get a gold lanyard on your 6th cruise.
You get Platinum one your 10th cruise.
I would imagine they give first time cruisers some sort of one free. (but i could be wrong)
anyone care to answer this?

We initially gave him an 8, but bumped him up to a 9 because of his accent.
