This may be a bizarre question But here goes. When you are purchasing tickets thru undercover tourist do you use the canadian price or the u.s. price? When I put it thru the Canadian price it is $30 more for a 10 day ...
Is it cheaper to pay on visa with the canadian price and no extra cost OR
the U.S. price with the exchante rate on visa/ Sorry is this confusing???

Hopefully someone can help. :surfweb:

Hmmm well I used the link mousesavers sent and the site allows you to put in the price in Canadian dollars. I used my visa to pay and had no problems.

the 10 day MYW = $250.17 CAD
the 10 day MYW = 235.95 USD

expiry 14 days after first use --can be upgraded before you leave Disney World --for a fee--.
Yes you will be charged the CAD price--but the shipping to Canada is free .
Hope this helps --not sure if I explained it well but others may help.

Hugs Mel

The "Cdn price" is just what the US price would be at today's exchange rate -- so you can get an idea of what you would be actually paying.

You have to pay in US dollars. That's what gets charged through on your credit card. The actual exchange rate is established by your credit card company at the time of purchase.

Hi amw have you used undercover? I am planning on using it this year as not staying Disney. I used the other one that mousesavers had 2 yrs ago and it was fine. It is no longer on the mousesaver so will use the other one I trust mousesavers.

LOL... I think we're on the same vacation-plan-mode... I too used the other company Mousesavers suggested in 2005.

I did just use Undercovertourist. I placed my order on December 27th (when the dollar was sitting at $1.02) and received the passes no problem on January 8th. They came by regular mail. Unlike the previous company (who mailed them with coupon books and a photocopy of the passes just in case), these came with the passes only, nothing else.

Our dollar keeps fluctuating around the US dollar amount. Wait for a day when it's on the above side and go for it :thumbsup2

LOL!!! I agree I also think we are on the same vacation mode too bad we were not going at the same time....I spoke to the guy about BC and i have to wait til May to book for that price..so I am looking for a back up and I see Cyprus Pointe...what is that like? Anything like BC?

I'll PM you the info :)

Depends on how many you are buying and for how long. I looked at the UT price and the difference between that and the Disney store was about $25 for 3 of us, to me it was better to drive to the mall and get them in my hand.

I don't see your math at all. There is 6.5% Florida tax added to the Disney Store tickets. I have the Cdn store brochure in front of me. For sake of arguement, let's look only at the basic MYW adult offered from the store versus the mousesavers undercovertourist amounts:

Disney Canada:
3-day MYW base adult = $225, plus tax = $239.63 CDN
3-day MYW base child = $190, plus tax = $202.35 CDN
5-day MYW base adult = $240, plus tax = $255.60 CDN
5-day MYW base child = $200, plus tax = $213.00 CDN
7-day MYW base adult = $245, plus tax = $260.93 CDN
7-day MYW base child = $205, plus tax = $215.13 CDN

Undercovertourist (all taxes and delivery included):
3-day MYW base adult = $213.95 US
3-day MYW base child = $178.95 US
5-day MYW base adult = $217.95 US
5-day MYW base child = $181.95 US
7-day MYW base adult = $218.95 US
7-day MYW base child = $184.95 US

With the US dollar so weak, both places should be selling at the same amount, and that's not the case. The Disney Store still offers Canadians very little on the dollar exchange.

Also, you can order any number of days from undercover, not just 3-, 5-, and 7-.

For my family of 4 -- 2 adults and 2 kids -- my 7-day MYW base tickets came to just under $808 US. If I had purchased these from Disney Canada, the total would have been $958.50 CDN.:scared1:

I was looking for a 10 day park hopper water park and more non expiry ticket

the price is U.S. 491.95
Canadian 521.59

Visa explained it if you pay U.S. FUnds you pay the daily rate at exchanging your $$$$ and a handling fee
Paying in Canadian on your visa is the 591 price and no handling fee

When I went onto Undercover tourist without Mousesavers direct link It was only $5 more.
DOes anyone know if I am doing something wrong??? That doesnt seen that great of a discount thru Mousesavers after all.

Sorry for so many explanations
anyone have any advice

Thanks again

The mousesavers discount is only a few dollars per ticket off their regularly discounted tickets. You're saving $40 off the gate price.

I still think the Cdn currency that they show is only for "show". If you were to order, the amount comes through as US dollars. That's why they write "For foreign currencies (not U.S. Dollars) the price you pay can be up to 2% less than shown" ... because they are only showing an exchange rate of .98. It's just like when you look on ebay. You can set it to show the amounts in Cdn dollars instead of US, but if you were to purchase anything, you pay US dollar. They're just telling you what it is equivalent to, nothing more. There's no option to choose "pay in Cdn funds" or "pay in US funds." Undercovertourist is a US-based company working with US dollars. You VISA will be making the exchange.

Do you plan on returning to the parks within a year? It might be worthwhile to look at annual passes. :confused3 They are $477.12 US (but without the water parks).

I found the best to buy the 10 day adult park hopper with no expiration in Canda is at CAA - $480.00

taxes in.

A 10 day adult park hopper was $284.00

I got 2 adult 5 day and 1 youth and it cost less than $650 for the 3 of them and going by the prices you have there it would have cost $615 from UT. So you the prices you quote, must be new pricing, as I got my tickets in Dec. The adult was $228 and the kids was 190 taxes in. Sorry the difference between the UT and Disney was $33 not $25

I didn't mean to sound snippy or a know-it-all. :flower3: It's just that I did some research on the topic and found the cheapest to be UT for my purposes. $33 is still good for souvenirs. :)

The brochure I had was an old one -- February 2007 is what's printed on the bottom. The Disney Store may have lowered their set prices since then :confused3 I do have a US brochure I picked up at the Disney Store in Buffalo in November. They were selling their 5-day base adult for $215 US plus tax, so $229US. And, the child was $179 US plus tax, so $190.64.

It looks like you got Cdn passes at par, or were you quoting the US price? I'm not sure what the stores are doing lately :confused3

The internet is a hard place to figure out someones tone/attitude, I am sorry too. Not sure what the Disney store did. I just went in and asked for 2 adult 5 day and 1 child 5 day. They gave me the price and I knew what the UT price was and figured they were close enough. I just like having them in my hands and not having to worry about them in the mail not coming or damaged.

Did u all see t he post that the Disney stores in Canada are selling the tix at PAR?

Stephanie
