Undercover Boss

I'm not defending him, and yes he was a pig, but she was a real liability. She & the waitress were equally incompetent, but the waitress wasn't doing anything that could have gotten him sued.

The overserving the guy was really an after thought in his reasons for firing her.
He emphasized her not wearing the uniform (because she was going to be on TV and wanted to be more covered up) and not wanting that to be her career.
I've watched that show enough to know the rarely firing anyone.

Never heard of Armando Montelongo, but there are other people who do house-flipping seminars around here. It never occurred to me that going to the seminar and doing it yourself made you an employee of the company.

There is a DISer who spoke about being on the show and (if I remember correctly) that the employees knew what they were in on, told to have a sob story ready, etc.

I pretty much stopped watching after that...

That made this episode odd.

He did have some employees--one helped set up seminars and checked people in, the other was a call center. He also showed up to a site and worked for an electrical contractor, who isn't directly an employee. And then he spoke with one of his seminar attendees which actually is a customer.

I felt it stretched things quite a bit.

I am surprised he had his own call center. I would have expected that to be contracted out as many companies do for their telemarketing.
