Hi,
This might sound a little odd, but i am planning a disney trip for the year after next (i like to plan early!) with just me and my boyfriend. But according to my plans still be under 21 when i go (however my boyfriend will be 21). Will i be able to book stuff and stay in Disney accomidation if i am under 21? Sine i am the one planning this holiday (he's never been before) i am going to be the one sorting everything out. In England i am classed as an adult at 18, so it will be no problems this end, i just need to know how i will be classed in America.

It would be a great help if people could reply or scoot me on another more appropriate board if need be!

Thanks!

I don't know about booking with Disney. But, you will have trouble renting a vehicle if you intend to do that.

Good luck, I hope this works out for you.

I really don't know, so probably shouldn't throw my 2 cents in. However, I THINK you are allowed to rent hotel rooms at age 18 in USA. So I THINK, but do not know, that should not be a problem. Of course when you call WDW, they will know, and tell you. They are really very helpful and knowledgable most of the time.
Have a great trip and a great time. :cheer2:

I am sure you will have no problem with making any reservations for WDW - the CMs have never asked for any dates of birth for any of the adults in the room (and in the US 18 is considered an adult). I only had to give the birthdates for the kids in the room, so I think you will be fine - just say you have 2 adults in your travel party and you will be good.

As a pp said...if you plan on renting a car you won't be able to and some places may give your DBF a difficult time - some places will rent to a 21 year old, while others say 25 and older (I have rented from both) so do some shopping around if that is something you need to do.

Other than that I think you will be fine! Have a magical trip :)

If you have a major credit card, you should be fine.

Also, remember that you won't be able to go to the clubs at PI.

Can't speak to WDW specifically, but DH and I had trouble renting a car when I was 21 and he was 20. Enterprise was who finnally let me rent, but he could not drive as he was less than 21. Just something to keep in mind.

Thank you guys! Yeah ive already been look around for rental cars and i think virgin (who we would probs fly with) allow rentals to 21's. Its only my prelim plans in which i would be under 21, i may have to push it back further till after christmas into 2010!!!!

Oh well, cest la vie!

i went in 2005 when i just graduated high school. i was 18 and my best friend was 17. we had no problems booking! but like everyone has mentioned, i am pretty sure you cant rent a car :). also i would check with your travel agent (ours at AAA actually called Disney to make sure it was allowed) just to be safe-because a lot of hotels now have a 21 and up "rules" which can be bypassed if parents call and explain the whole "great kid, never misbehaved in their life" deal, but i doubt its this way with Disney (haha, we had problems when we "road tripped" to maryland recently). whew. that was a lot longer than i thought it would be.

anyways, goodluck & have fun! :goodvibes

My BF and I are going (he is 22 I am 20) Originally I was booking the rooms and had no problems (until I realized my credit limit was too low...so he ended up booking on his credit card.)

Most places for rentals appear to rent to people 21-25 but are classified as YOUNG DRIVERS and have to pay absurd insurance...

you could always call and ask...

but anyways my bf and I have decided to just not get a rental we will use the Magical Express to get to the resort and then Mears Transport to get to Universal (I know...Disney traitors or what...)

I hope you get to go!!!!
