So DH and I have been doing a pre-Christmas/anniversary trip annually since 2011. First trip was going to be a one time event, but we were hooked. Since 1999, we've taken our kids (now 23 & 25) every 3 to 4 years-summertime so they wouldn't miss school. We did our "just us" trip in November, 2014, and had a credit from SW. We decided to use the credit to fly to WDW for the F&G fest. We go back from that May 1. Since I love to find good deals, I investigated FD, BB, and an agency exclusive offer for the pre-Christmas 2015 trip. That is now booked-just waiting for SW to release those flight dates. Since we knew we were going back this year, we upgraded our 4 day PHs from this recent trip to AP's, which will save us over $200 compared to buying PHs just for the Dec. trip.
Well, I started thinking aloud (aka scheming!) and mentioned that my aunt sounded really interested in the F&G fest and that maybe, since I already have the AP, I could talk to her about going next April. DH surprised me by saying that he might want to go back. He'd be especially interested in going back if we did something new during that trip--like a Disney cruise!! So now, instead of using the APs for just the Dec. trip, it looks like we will be going for probably 4 nights in April followed by a 3-night Bahamian cruise on the Dream!! I have spent the last 2 days doing lots of research about Disney cruises.
I just can't believe that I went from Disney trips every 3-4 years, to annually, to what this year and next will be 2x in a year!! I get very caught up in all the planning, but I wanted to share my excitement with those of you who really "get it!!"
