Unable to find my booking with TCD

Hi, don't know if anyone could advise me. We booked 3 weeks ago with TCD and I have been trying to log on to Virgin Atlantic to try and sort out our seating on the flight. We fly 5th till the 19th November and when I log on with my booking reference number it says it hasn't been found and to check the number and details again. I realize that Virgin has put some kind of block on seat allocations but I would have thought I would be able to at least get onto the site.

Any advice please.

The block thing doenst come into effect till feb

I've experienced the same thing. We fly out in May and when i type in the reference number etc, i get the same message. Apparently, your booking reference number and flight reference number are two different things. If you want the flight reference number, you need to call TCD to get it. I read this either on my booking conformation letter or online. I'm calling first thing in the morning, i really don't want us to get split up on the flight!

just letting you know, i called travel city direct this morning, got the flight reference number and booked my seats!

So, I rang and found my VA reference number and was able to find my booking, my only problem now is, when I go to the section of reserving seats it comes up with available seats but when I try to reserve any it won't let me, it says they are unavailable to book yet they are showing that you can book them very confusing. Any advice? As I mentioned before, we fly on 5th November so we are within the time scale.

Virgin are only letting people book there flights up to oct because they are refurbishing the planes I have managed to book my seats for October but not the return in nov

Its showing that we are on the new airbus so shouldn't think that should affect us, although you never know!! A few weeks ago I could see that they were upgrading their seat allocation booking system and thought that may be the reason who knows!!! It would be nice to pre book them although we're not too fussed, just glad to be going, there are just the 2 of us so I'm sure we'll be sat together!! Again, who knows........

I'll just have to keep looking.
