The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

I think I got most of what you said lol.

He looked today and no BW views are available, and he told me he would look everyday and walk the reservation if he is able to get a room. So is that what you are saying? He told me he does this all the time, he will be looking daily at 8AM and he would walk the reservation. Is there another strategy?
Walking limited view rooms for renters…. talk about a hot button topic for an owners forum….

I'm not a fan of pool views in general, as they tend to be noisier - however, the quiet pool views at Boardwalk are really not bad at all - if you can get on one of the wings, you get a partial pool view combined with a view of either DHS or Swan/Dolphin and the river and boats going by. The end rooms in the wings are particularly nice, as you get a nice, large balcony plus a side window over the river...4095 is a favorite room of mine with the two way views:

Also, though it's a farther walk from the lobby area, the little garden down at the end of the Boardwalk villas, facing Swan and Dolphin, is a lovely view - quiet, a little park and garden, and higher floors get lovely views of the boats, river, and Swan and Dolphin at night. Plus, that little back door is a convenient place to head in and out for walking to the Beach, Yacht, Swan, and Dolphin, or catching the boat to DHS or Epcot from the Swan/Dolphin dock, which is right across the bridge. Here's a view from 5027:

Even the lower floors that sit on that little park have a lovely expanse of greenery, with the Swan/Dolphin in the distance - this is from room 2010:

thank you for the tips.

So if I want to get a view of HS (like your first picture) or partial view of fireworks, which request should I make?

thank you !

That would be either Quiet pool - south building, but with a request to be facing DHS - rooms *087-*095 (the other wing of the quiet pool faces towards Swan and Dolphin, or the center rooms which face across the river and woods, but Tower of Terror would be blocked from some - you'd want to stick to 110-118). The wing over the main pool also has rooms facing DHS, but you're on the noisier main pool too.

BTW - I personally always request specific room numbers when I book...usually I give them 12-18 room numbers I like. And I've had pretty good luck - I get one of my specific room numbers about 20% of the time, and overall about 50-60% of the time, I get a room very close with a very similar view.

The room I shared the DHS photo from, 4095, is a favorite - I've had that room 4 times, and two other times I got 5095 (same view, but the balcony doesn't have as much privacy from the rooms next door - not a huge deal but I prefer the wall blocking off the view from the rooms down the row, which exists on floors 2-4). Another set of room numbers on my garden/pool request list are 2027, 3027, and 4027 - I've gotten 4027 twice, and 5027 once (same balcony difference as the *095s). Basically I always put in requests for the *095, *027, *002 - floors 2 and up when I get garden/pool view. When I get Boardwalk view, I always request the rooms that have the very large, fully boxed and covered balconies - there are 7 on the 2nd floor and 3 on the fifth floor...I've scored those 6 times.

Ok, I had a reservation for BW view deluxe studios via DVC (renting points) for Feb 2026, had to reschedule for August 2026 due to change of plans. My date will only be available to book next week, but the seller is telling me that as of today, no Boardwalk views available :charac2::charac2:

So there is a high chance I will have to settle with Pool/garden view. Few questions:

1. I was reading that a request for Village Green would be a good compromise, since it is like partial boardwalk view. however, how does DVC grant the requests? Pure luck, or is it based on the date the room was booked and the date the request is made? If i book on the 11 month mark and put the request ASAP, does that increase my chances? What about checking in on the app few days prior to arrival date? Does that increase the odds?

2. Any other views/requests you recommend? I don't like pool views. I have seen a few garden views where you can see the fireworks/hollywood tower of terror, etc? Any other requests I can make where I can see some fireworks and have a "nicer view"

So bummed. I love BW view, got spoiled :sad1::sad1:

People have already replied, but here's my two cents:

You can make a room request through Touring Plans (if you paid for a subscription), or by having the owner contact DVC Member Services.

I have never heard that the odds of getting your room request are increased based on the date the room was booked, or the date the room request was made, or the date that the person checked in on the app. To some extent, it's going to be based on when other people are checking in, and checking out, and the length of your stay.

I have heard that if you put in a room request through Touring Plans or through Member Services, you should completely ignore the room request section when you do online check-in. I have heard that if you do anything with the room request section when you do online check-in, that invalidates any prior room requests that you made.
