Hi Camille -
I keep waiting for an update. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and I am sure you are in full trip planning mode for your upcoming trip - you must be getting so excited. 4 months! Yeah!![]()

Love the countdown calendar, Camille. What an awesome idea.
Jordy posted on Glenn's TR right after Christmas as he was available until the 31st (no computer where he normally is).
You could do a one "must do" or "must try" for each day if you want to add some stuff.
Good for you, Dan!! Do you like it? What does Candi think of it?
Since I have limited room in our upstairs living area/makeshift-gym I use that same kind of ball for my weight bench. Since I only do one type of exercise that I'd need a bench for (flys for the chest) I didn't think it was a good idea to try and squeeze in a weight lifting bench.Besides! It helps with building core muscle, the ball stays under my back just below my shoulders and then of course I have my feet on the floor. I don't get as good a range when doing my flys like I can on a bench, eh oh well, works well enough for me!

4 months ba-by!!!
Okay, it's actually a day shy of being 4 months, but we won't tell anyone.
YAY!! Before you know it, you'll be here!
Nice calendar. I didn't know the Mickey heads were gone until it was too late. You have quite a stash there!
Not having anything to wear because you are losing weight is a good thing! Definative sign that you are doing something right.
i remember the mickey head heist...i still have over 400 in my posession just can not decide which color i like best for our walls.
That's a good problem to have!!
she really enjoys the work out it gives, i have just messed around on it, i used noelle as my free weights, makes for harder bench press as she likes to giggle and wiggle as i lift her...so makes you work that core not to drop her.

I remember the Home Depot Mickey head fiasco!!!
Jordan was ahead of his time... my Home Depot actually just got rid of their Disney paint section recently.
Good idea for a countdown calendar!![]()

Thank you Michelle, I didn't realize they actually did remove them from the stores. It's a sad, sad day Disers.

It's a really good sign!I can't even get away with wearing what I had from last summer!!
I actually just tried on the clothes from last summer and it's all really big on me.
I really look forward to getting new clothes, just hoping what I find won't break the bank and that I actually find things I like. I'm pretty sure I'll be okay, like I said, I handed this whole trip over to the Lord. He's pretty good at taking care of his kiddos.

Oh, the Mickey Paint Chip Heist, I remember it well!
Those were some fun times on Jordy's PTR!!
Too funny, I actually thought of it just yesterday when Eric decided on his own to make himself a countdown calendar for his room. Poor thing it's 359 days long! It was a lot of little boxes to say the least.
Awww, that is so sweet, bless his little heart. He's such a good boy.
It's a good problem to have, the lack of wardrobe and you are smart to wait. It will be worth it, is already I am sure!
Hmm....
a naked Disney World trip? Now that would be a whole other kind of story!![]()
Sorry, I had to go there.
Hi!
Remember me?
I took a little DIS hiatus, and I'm back. Glad to see you're still here, still losing, still planning. I've got some catching up to do but just had to chuckle a little at your last post. I've lost some weight myself and have been doing a big ole closet purge recently. Talk about not having anything to wear! When the clothes are too big and make you look bigger than you are, it's time for them to go! How sad that we need new things...![]()
KAT!! Of course I remember you!! Good to have you back!I've been wondering how your solor trip went, how your shoes held up. You loved the tennies you got before you left, where they the one's you ended up touring in? You'll have to tell me what one's they are again.
And yes, I thought someone would get a kick out of me possibly going to WDW nakers.

You just KNOW I was dyin to use that smilie!!![]()
I know aaallll about the closet purge. Ever since I started losing weight I pretty much average a purge about every four months, it's a good problem to have, but really hard to plan for anything coming up since you don't know what size you'll be and wether or not you can buy something now not knowing how it will fit in a couple of months. I'm glad to hear you are getting rid of any clothes that are too big for you, it's a sure fire way to help you stay on track and keep the weight off. I knew when I started this journey I would not be keeping ANY of the clothes I "grew out of". I didn't want anything to fall back on, I wanted this to be the final time I saw any of the clothes I had from before, no matter how cute or expensive they were. I sorta wish I kept a couple pair of something to look back on so I could see how big I was and how much smaller I am compared to it. Oh well!Like you and Cynthia said....good problem to have/darn I have to buy new things.

I love that smilie!
I had an amazing solo trip, thank you for asking.
Hoping while you are laid up from surgery you'll give us all a little TR about your solo trip.
As it turns out, I'll be having knee surgery a week from tomorrow. I have a meniscus tear in my right knee and I'm in pain pretty much every day, all day. I can't wait to get it fixed. Short orthoscopic surgery, 2-3 days on crutches, and then I should feel like brand new, apparently.
Ooooh I'm so sorry. I didn't realize you were having an issue, was this a problem before you left on your trip?
Thank God at the last minute on my solo trip, I decided to take my sneakers. Because I wore them all the time, and they were the only thing I could wear. Also, they are all I wear right now. New Balance sneaks, or Orthaheel (shoes that are made with a built in orthotic) Mary Janes.
Hmmm, for some reason I remember you talking about a bright pair of asics that seemed to feel like a cloud when you wore them. I don't remember you liking a pair of New Balance, man was I off! I'll have to go back and look. Shoes are important! Comfy, cute one's that is.
I have become officially boring with my footwear. Lord help me. I hope that the surgery fixes me enough that might, just might be able to wear a pretty pair of sandals this summer.
And I apologize, that was much more than I planned to say about that!
Oh my goodness! Don't you even worry about going on too much, this is the thread to talk all you want. I like reading it.
It is a good plan to get rid of the clothes so you don't have them to "fall back on." I did so well shopping at Kohl's before the holiday. Their clearance was further marked down, and I had a 20% off coupon, so I ended up buying summer shirts for $2 or less per shirt. AWESOME. Some were even .97.![]()
Hi Camille! I've just finished reading your PTR and am subbing to follow along. I am also on a weight loss journey, so I find myself relating to many of your thoughts and posts. I'm 59 days out from my next trip to WDW and while I've been doing well so far (I'm only a month in, but have managed to lose 8 lbs.) I am a bit nervous about my vacation setting me back, but certain foods are just so much a part of a Disney trip, that I know I feel I'd missed out if I didn't indulge a little. I've decided that the best thing I can do is enjoy my vacation, eat healthy the majority of the time and save my "splurges" for my Disney must-haves (Dole Whip, Cream Cheese pretzel, etc.). I figure that way I'll still feel like I've gotten all my Disney favorites but not gone off the rails.
I'm also determined to take advantage of the fitness center at OKW where we will be staying. For me, working out first thing in the morning is the best way to ensure I get it done, and I've decided that as long as I work out in the morning, I'll be fine to have a Disney treat that day!
Congratulations on your weight loss and on your life changes (as you know it's not just about weight, but about finding a newer, healthier frame of mind). I look forward to reading along and celebrating your goals with you!
I love the countdown calendar. Very nice! And I noticed the mickey heads were not in Home Depot anymore. Bummer. But you certainly do have a lifetime supply, so you are good.
Thank you, Mary Ellen. It's been fun getting it ready to be done, I'll report on that here in a few.
I agree - hit up Kohls for left over summer clothes. You might be able to find some really inexpensive shirts and stuff. And having no wardrobe because you're skinny is actually pretty cool.
Love the countdown calendar - what a great idea! Alas, in Australia we have no Mickey paint chips
I have a few extra's, Lana.![]()
Great to hear you're still doing well with your weight loss. Shrinking out of your old clothes is definitely a good problem to haveIf you're worried about the impact on your wallet, have you thought about updating your wardrobe from a thrift store until you've reached your goal weight (then you can splash out on clothes you know you'll have until they actually wear out)?
"Splash out on"...I love that saying! It's fun to see what different says people have from different areas, even within your own country!Actually I've been buying fairly cheap clothes up until now, and as few as possible. It's the all at once that I'm a bit concerned about, I'll pretty much be buying clothes as soon as the spring line hits the store to be sure I'll have found everything I need and have the money to buy them. <cross your fingers and pray!>

Feel free to post updates on your weight loss journey - I'd definitely be interested to read about how that's going![]()

Well, it's safe to say I didn't make my 75 lb. goal over the month of Dec.Turns out December is too hard of a holiday month to get through and try to lose weight. Who knew?!?
I found trying to deprive myself during Christmas made me feel resentful so I gave in when I wanted something ever so often. I'm about a pound a half away from hitting my next short term goal though so hopefully it won't be too much longer.
I'm still hitting my workouts pretty hot and heavy, although the other day I had this sharp shooting pain from my hand into my forearm while trying to do some bi-cep curls, it looks as though I've injured something so I'll have to either go see the doc about it if it doesn't heal up in a week. Or I'll just have to do hammer curls for the biceps until my forearm/hand heals.
