Wow - Camille - what an amazing and inspiring story about your friend's son's suicide, her amazing weight loss, and your weight loss. Congratulations. I am truly amazed by what the human body can due with sheer motivation.

What a great way your DH surprised you with the "lets plan a trip to WDW". My DH was the one to first suggest we go. Little did he know he was going to spark a life time addiction.

Mary Ellen, thank you. I totally agree, I'm always amazed by the determination of someone who really puts their minds, body's and spirit into what they're doing.
Our injured Vets often come to mind when I think about this, it helps me to stay focused, especially when I want to wash out or not give my all.
I don't feel like what I'm doing is anything short of what I should be doing, but them....WOW!!
I'm of the firm belief that if you commit your mind to a goal and your ways to God you can do anything. ::yes::

:yay: Good for you!! :) I'll have to pop on over and give you a shout! :goodvibes

The name MAROO caught my eye! I am eager to see if it is THE Maroo!! I am a believer of miracles and this looks like it might have some of that in there as well...and your avatar is often my go-too princess pic, one of my faves. Eager to see what unfolds here....

It is really me! :) I am back!!!!! :)

Checking in from the road. Glad to be here

:wave2:
can't wait to see you again!! :)

Hello! Long time no see!! :)

Phew! All caught up!

What an inspiring story! As someone that has struggled with weight for most of my life, your story really hit home. I am trying to start the healthier me journey this week so I really appreciate everything you shared.

Love the falling in love with Disney story! I also had Disney records and loved Disney movies. I took my first and only trip to WDW as a kid when I was 14 in 1987. The love turned into obsession when we took Jordan for her first trip in April 2007 at age 3 1/2. Well, everyone can see by my signature what that trip led to - LOL!

Can't wait to read more!

Jen!! :) How are you!?!

I am back!

Hellooooooo Dis'ers!!

I'm sure by now you've come to know who I am, if not....I am Camille! :wave2:
Millie to my husband, hence the Diser name. :goodvibes
Mom to my kiddos, use to be Mommy (actually Mama) but they've grown up and now I'm just Mom or Mmmuther! when they're annoyed with me.
Most everyone calls me Camille, or around here (the Dis) Millie, just don't call me Cami, please! :sad2:
I'm a 41 year old mom who's been married to my Mr. Incredible for 20 going on 21 years come this December. :lovestruc

Pictures from our trip in 2010. I really don't like pictures of my old self, but these were special. This was one of my favorite moments shared with Mackie. It was our first day in the parks and we were going through the dark tunnels on the People Mover, Mackie was taking advantage of the darkness while I snapped off pictures. She knows what a control freak I can be about getting nice pictures, she made sure I had my fill of not getting what I wanted. :rotfl: I'm glad she did.

I am one of those rare creatures who's actually chosen to stay home all these years. Yes, I know that probably makes me old fashioned or seem out of touch, but you'd be surprised with just how in tune with the world I can be. Just ask Maroo, I think she thinks I can read minds. ::yes::  Oh wait, "very perceptive," she says.
So perceptive that I picked up on a Dis'ers quirks enough to know when they were pulling a fast one on all of us by writing a false TR, under an assumed name as though it were fact. A very popular TR at one time I might add....:rolleyes1 You could say I find the devil in the small details. Tricksy, I am. :teeth:

As you know I'm working on my weight and eventually I think I'll tackle things like finishing college one day. But for now it's about getting the kids through school, college will always be there for me, as for now....weight is the hill I choose to climb. We'll see what the Big Guy has for me to conquer later.

I love, love, love, people. All walks of life, I've dreamed of becoming a counselor some day since in a way.....people are my passion. No, there are no two ways about it, they are! :goodvibes Love people! I'm not perfect at it, but I do my best. Even to those who aren't so easy to love.

I of course love Disney.....

Favorite Disney Movie non animated: Mary Poppins
First movie I watched on a tape player, Beta no less! It was Mary Poppins and Gone With the Wind. :lovestruc
I was home sick for two and half months with mono, :crazy2: my mom's friend brought their player over and rented those two movies for me. I watched Mary Poppins over and over and over again.

Favorite animated Disney movie: Beauty and the Beast, although I have a few in close running from that same era. :goodvibes

Favorite Pixar: Hands down, Finding Nemo
On my boy's last day of grade school he and Mackenzie and I went and saw this movie. I found myself crying a lot through the movie and thinking how apropos it was that we were seeing this movie on that particular day. I don't think there is any other Disney movie that touches my heart like this one does. A close second would be: Meet the Robinson's, I know, weird movie and not a Pixar, but it's a movie that celebrates you being you, no matter how strange that may be. Something my hubby and the Lord have helped me learn to do over the years. :thumbsup2

Favorite Disney Park: Magic Kingdom
This park is so magical and it brings joy to my heart and good memories like no other. Mainly because every time I'm there, it gives me back a little more of my childhood. :cloud9:
I love all the parks, but this one is the one I hold most special.

Favorite Disney Character: Easy, Tinker Bell. Even before all this Disney Fairy stuff started coming out. I fell in love with her high spirited, spunky ways when I first saw Peter Pan. Became a huge fan when she flew across from the Castle right before Wishes started, back in 1989 at DL. I've even been known to get on Disney Fairies and play. ::yes::

Okay, that's more than enough about me! Tomorrow I'll finish everyone else, I hope.

I'm finally officially here! YAY!!! I knew bits of your story, but to hear it all at once is inspiring! I'm excited for you to celebrate during your trip!!!

Can't wait to read about your trip - congrats on your weight loss and I'll be here cheering you on as you continue with that!

I've still got about 30 pounds to go!

No worries here. My friend's cat was named Cami and I always think of her cat when I hear that name.

Great picture on the TTA!

Way to go!

From our little chats, I know you are an overcomer! Doors will open when they're meant to. I can also relate to the focus being on your kids.

I hope you get to live your dream some day. The hard to love need love too. Have you ever read the book Same Kind of Different as Me? I think you'd love it!

Another great choice!

Love your reasoning here!

Favorite Disney Park: Magic Kingdom

I love all the parks, but this one is the one I hold most special.

Great choice. I love watching first time visitors on Main St. It's so wonderful seeing it through their eyes.

Favorite Disney Character: Easy, Tinker Bell.

Me too! And I so love that you spelled her name right!!

::yes::

Thank you Michelle, hope where ever you are you're having a good time. :)

I am not anywhere today. Just hanging out and relaxing. I was getting my lesson plans ready for the week and decided to check out the DIS on my phone. Monday is usually our park day.

Hey Camille! Nice introductions! I just love that pic of you and Mackie on the PM - I've seen it before -your relationship personality just shines!

Fun to see all your favs, and why! Thanks for sharing that. Hmmm, I'm trying to remember the false TR - but you know how my memory is. I would say you are very perceptive - it is a gift you use well!;) Love ya! We need to talk again soon. Are you home on Monday?

We share a lot of the same favorites!

I've still got about 30 pounds to go!

:goodvibes Thank you and congrats to you!! I know you'll get that last 30 off. :thumbsup2

Great picture on the TTA!

Thank you, we had a lot of fun doing them.....well, I had fun once I got into it.

I am one of those rare creatures too! In tune and discerned, perhaps?

Yes, yes you are! :goodvibes And as for the second part, I think you totally get where it comes from. It's a gift that I don't take lightly.

From our little chats, I know you are an overcomer! Doors will open when they're meant to. I can also relate to the focus being on your kids.

I sure hope so, after all that I've been through!! I honestly can't see myself being any other way, I can thank my Lord for that. ::yes:: Focus on the kids was something I started before having Tyler, I knew I'd be home with him and any others than came along. Hope I can tackle the world once they are on their own. :)

I hope you get to live your dream some day. The hard to love need love too. Have you ever read the book Same Kind of Different as Me? I think you'd love it!

You and me both, it's something that I've been told (since I was in high school) I'd be good at. :confused3 It wasn't until I was taught that what ever you have a passion for is the gift God put in you to explore, expand and use one day. I've not read that book. Sounds like I'll have to get it. :)

Monday is usually our park day.

Oh that's right, duh! :upsidedow

Hey Camille! Nice introductions! I just love that pic of you and Mackie on the PM - I've seen it before -your relationship personality just shines!

Awww, thank you. It reminded me I need to let go and allow our relationship to blossom. I'm usually trying to make everything be just so that I forget to have a good time. John, and the kids are good for me that way, they help me to let go when I need to.

Fun to see all your favs, and why! Thanks for sharing that. Hmmm, I'm trying to remember the false TR - but you know how my memory is. I would say you are very perceptive - it is a gift you use well!;) Love ya! We need to talk again soon. Are you home on Monday?

Love you too, sweet lady! I should be home all day on Monday, give me a shout if you can. :)

Hi Camille! My name is Rebecca, I'm from Indiana-- and I saw your PTR report post on Brooke's FB pg... that's how I found you.
You are so inspiring... My husband and I have been trying to lose some weight to get healthy so your story is kicking my butt in gear.
I'm reading along!

Hidey-Ho Good Dis'ers!!

This is your trusty Dis Sister Camille reporting from the only quiet room in the house. :upsidedow

Does noise just seem to get to you on some days worse than others? Why is that?!? :confused3
Today happens to be one of those days so....I'm held up in my hubby's and my bedroom to retreat to some peace and quiet.....:cloud9: While my hubby hammers and grinds away on the four wheeler he's rebuilding. :headache:
He's brilliant with that sort of thing, just get's to me after a while. :upsidedow

Today boys and girls we will be talking about the introduction of my girlie...

Mackenzie!! :yay:
AKA Mackie, Mackadoodle, and soooo many other nicknames.

We had so many nicknames for her when she was little that it dawned on me one day (in one of those scare you ways that your whole body jolts when you come to the realization) that she may not even know what her real name is!!
"Monkey, do you know what your real name is?" "I not Monk-tey! I Mykenthie!" <she was then two>
"Good enough!" :rotfl:

Here's my beautiful girlie now....
Sorry I couldn't get it to resize. Silly photobucket-just click on the picture to see it in full view.
Her school Choir had a their end of year big performance and it just so happened to be (yeah us) a Disney Medley! All the kids were to dress up as different Disney Characters. Not sure who her friend (on the left) was dressing up as, but I think you can tell who Mackie was dressed as.

20120515_200538.jpg

:rotfl: This one cracks me up because the two girls are trying to make themselves taller standing next to Mackenzie. Mackenzie is almost 13 but she stands 5'9. Can you say hopeful swim scholarship?!?

Here she is with Mary Poppins!!
20120515_200605.jpg

How cute is her costume?!!? :lovestruc

Here's my goofy girl from the other night standing with her bestfriend since preschool and one of the nuns from the play we were seeing...The Sound of Music. We went to the Hillside Play in Zilker park, there's a free play there every summer. :goodvibes
20120712_220510.jpg

This actress was hilarious.

Mackenzie is 12 soon to be 13, and loves going to Disney with her mama. :lovestruc She doesn't like to plan it out so much as she just wants to show up and have a good time. She's also an amazing budding artist, this is a picture she drew of her brother as an Adventure Time character <cartoon on cartoon network> before she really got into drawing.

Just click on the picture, this one didn't want to resize either. Pretty good!! ::yes::

Her favorite Disney Characters are: Ariel, Rosetta from Disney Fairies, and Capt. Jack Sparrow-I think she has a crush on him. :rolleyes1

Her favorite Disney Movie is: Pirates of the Caribbean pirate:

Favorite Pixar: Ratatouille-She says it's because she likes the follow your dreams kind of movies. <Is she a kid after my own heart or what>

Favorite Park:Magic Kingdom-She says it's because it's the most magical and feels like she's in a fairytale when she's there. :cloud9: I love that kid!

That's my Mackie! :goodvibes

Up next are Maroo and Patricia-Poolrat introductions!!

Nice to "meet" Mackie! Adorable pictures

Thank you Cynthia. I'm really liking the person she's turning out to be. She has a heart of gold and she feels a lot of compassion for others. I feel so fortunate to have gotten to meet one of your e's. :goodvibes He's a great kid. Your trip is coming up, I started reading through your PTR, almost through it. :thumbsup2

Great to know a bit more about Mackie!!! :cool1:

Thank you Patricia! :) I think you'll really enjoy getting to know her on our trip. She's really a sweet and funny kiddo, she's really looking forward to you and Mary being there with us. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Those costumes are all so gorgeous!!!

Aren't they?!? :lovestruc The kids really had a great time putting on their costumes and giving us all a wonderful performance. princess: I think all three girls ended up wining a prize for their costumes (along with a lot of the other kids).
