Wow - Camille - what an amazing and inspiring story about your friend's son's suicide, her amazing weight loss, and your weight loss. Congratulations. I am truly amazed by what the human body can due with sheer motivation.
What a great way your DH surprised you with the "lets plan a trip to WDW". My DH was the one to first suggest we go. Little did he know he was going to spark a life time addiction.
Great updates- you did in fact inspire me to start my own PTR!

The name MAROO caught my eye! I am eager to see if it is THE Maroo!! I am a believer of miracles and this looks like it might have some of that in there as well...and your avatar is often my go-too princess pic, one of my faves. Eager to see what unfolds here....
Checking in from the road. Glad to be here
I'm here![]()
Phew! All caught up!
What an inspiring story! As someone that has struggled with weight for most of my life, your story really hit home. I am trying to start the healthier me journey this week so I really appreciate everything you shared.
Love the falling in love with Disney story! I also had Disney records and loved Disney movies. I took my first and only trip to WDW as a kid when I was 14 in 1987. The love turned into obsession when we took Jordan for her first trip in April 2007 at age 3 1/2. Well, everyone can see by my signature what that trip led to - LOL!
Can't wait to read more!
Great update! Posting from my phone, so I'll be back later to comment.
I'm finally officially here! YAY!!! I knew bits of your story, but to hear it all at once is inspiring! I'm excited for you to celebrate during your trip!!!
Hellooooooo Dis'ers!!
I'm sure by now you've come to know who I am, if not....I am Camille!
Millie to my husband, hence the Diser name.![]()
Mom to my kiddos, use to be Mommy but they've grown up and now I'm just Mom or Mmmuther! when they're annoyed with me.
Most everyone calls me Camille, or around here (the Dis) Millie, just don't call me Cami, please!![]()
I'm a 41 year old mom who's been married to my Mr. Incredible for 20 going on 21 years come this December.

Pictures from our trip in 2010. I really don't like pictures of my old self, but these were special. This was one of my favorite moments shared with Mackie. It was our first day in the parks and we were going through the dark tunnels on the People Mover, Mackie was taking advantage of the darkness while I snapped off pictures. She knows what a control freak I can be about getting nice pictures, she made sure I had my fill of not getting what I wanted.I'm glad she did.
I am one of those rare creatures who's actually chosen to stay home all these years. Yes, I know that probably makes me old fashioned or seem out of touch, but you'd be surprised with just how in tune with the world I can be. Just ask Maroo, I think she thinks I can read minds.![]()
Oh wait, "very perceptive," she says.

So perceptive that I picked up on a Dis'ers quirks enough to know when they were pulling a fast one on all of us by writing a false TR, under an assumed name as though it were fact. A very popular TR at one time I might add....You could say I find the devil in the small details. Tricksy, I am.
As you know I'm working on my weight and eventually I think I'll tackle things like finishing college one day. But for now it's about getting the kids through school, college will always be there for me, as for now....weight is the hill I choose to climb. We'll see what the Big Guy has for me to conquer later.
I love, love, love, people. All walks of life, I've dreamed of becoming a counselor some day since in a way.....people are my passion. No, there are no two ways about it, they are!Love people! I'm not perfect at it, but I do my best. Even to those who aren't so easy to love.
I of course love Disney.....
Favorite Disney Movie non animated: Mary Poppins
First movie I watched on a tape player, Beta no less! It was Mary Poppins and Gone With the Wind.
I was home sick for two and half months with mono,my mom's friend brought their player over and rented those two movies for me. I watched Mary Poppins over and over and over again.
Favorite animated Disney movie:goodvibes: Beauty and the Beast, although I have a few in the close running from that same era.
Favorite Pixar: Hands down, Finding Nemo
On my boy's last day of grade school he and Mackenzie and I went and saw this movie. I found myself crying a lot through the movie and thinking how apropos it was that we were seeing this movie on that particular day. I don't think there is any other Disney movie that touches my heart like this one does. A close second would be: Meet the Robinson's, I know, weird movie and not a Pixar, but it's a movie that celebrates you being you, no matter how strange that may be. Something my hubby and the Lord have helped me learn to do over the years.
Favorite Disney Park: Magic Kingdom
This park is so magical and it brings joy to my heart and good memories like no other. Mainly because every time I'm there, it gives me back a little more of my childhood.
I love all the parks, but this one is the one I hold most special.
Favorite Disney Character: Easy, Tinker Bell. Even before all this Disney Fairy stuff started coming out. I fell in love with her high spirited, spunky ways when I first saw Peter Pan. Became a huge fan when she flew across from the Castle right before Wishes started, back in 1989 at DL. I've even been known to get on Disney Fairies and play.
Okay, that's more than enough about me! Tomorrow I'll finish everyone else, I hope.![]()

Another great choice!

Love your reasoning here!

Great choice. I love watching first time visitors on Main St. It's so wonderful seeing it through their eyes.
Favorite Disney Character: Easy, Tinker Bell.
Me too! And I so love that you spelled her name right!!

Thank you Michelle, hope where ever you are you're having a good time.![]()
We share a lot of the same favorites!
Can't wait to read about your trip - congrats on your weight loss and I'll be here cheering you on as you continue with that!
I've still got about 30 pounds to go!
[/COLOR]Great picture on the TTA!
Thank you, we had a lot of fun doing them.....well, I had fun once I got into it.
I am one of those rare creatures too! In tune and discerned, perhaps?
Yes, yes you are!And as for the second part, I think you totally get where it comes from. It's a gift that I don't take lightly.
From our little chats, I know you are an overcomer! Doors will open when they're meant to. I can also relate to the focus being on your kids.
I sure hope so, after all that I've been through!!I honestly can't see myself being any other way, I can thank my Lord for that.
Focus on the kids was something I started before having Tyler, I knew I'd be home with him and any others than came along. Hope I can tackle the world once they are on their own.

I hope you get to live your dream some day. The hard to love need love too. Have you ever read the book Same Kind of Different as Me? I think you'd love it!
You and me both, it's something that I've been told (since I was in high school) I'd be good at.It wasn't until I was taught that what ever you have a passion for is the gift God put in you to explore, expand and use one day. I've not read that book. Sounds like I'll have to get it.

Monday is usually our park day.
Hey Camille! Nice introductions! I just love that pic of you and Mackie on the PM - I've seen it before -your relationship personality just shines!
Awww, thank you. It reminded me I need to let go and allow our relationship to blossom. I'm usually trying to make everything be just so that I forget to have a good time.John, and the kids are good for me that way, they help me to let go when I need to.
Fun to see all your favs, and why! Thanks for sharing that. Hmmm, I'm trying to remember the false TR - but you know how my memory is. I would say you are very perceptive - it is a gift you use well!Love ya! We need to talk again soon. Are you home on Monday?
Nice to "meet" Mackie! Adorable pictures
Great to know a bit more about Mackie!!!![]()
Those costumes are all so gorgeous!!!
