Un-Tangled-Getting My Life Back....PTR!! TR Started! 5/30

I'm so glad you're feeling in better spirits!

After I posted my advice, I actually made it to the Y this morning, and got a workout in. Um, yeah. So even though I eat healthy, I'll eat my own words and say, wow, do I feel better! :lmao: So I totally know what you mean. Those dang addictive endorphins!

I'm doing well. I'm getting to the point where my pt exercises are almost useless because the range of motion in my leg and knee is almost back to normal. I have my second post op tomorrow and a pt appointment before that so I'm going to talk about my specific concerns with my therapist and see what he recommends. :goodvibes

Keep going honey!!!! You got this!! We are all so proud and awed by you! Don't worry about the times when you can't, in the end those won't matter. You are doing a great job!! :dance3:

Thank you, baby girl. I can't begin to tell you how much everyone's words make a difference. Most days I have it, but on those days where I don't (to be expected for anyone I'm sure) y'alls words/prayers help lift me up. As a believer (you may know this Debbie) we have a saying to our fellow sisters and brothers...When you can't hold your sword up on your own (every day is a battle to overcome-some being no problem to get through and some being harder than you can handle alone), we'll come along side and help hold it up with you.
Some days our swords are a little heavier to hold up than others, and it's good to know you have friends to help come along and help you do battle until you are ready to take it on your own again. Standing in the gap is another way of putting it. This is something I think a lot of people don't get these days, but something I think the Dis'ers have in spades. :thumbsup2
I know we are all over the country and some all over the world, but we all seem to be there for one another and have one anothers backs when we need it. It's my honor to do it for you and I'm honored that y'all are there for me. <I wish there was a happy smilie with a tear>

I'm so glad you're feeling in better spirits!

Yes! Thank you. :goodvibes

::yes:: I know!! Sooo much better! :goodvibes I'm so glad you were able to get in a workout. Sounds like you are pretty much back to going full swing again! :thumbsup2 Sounds like the surgery was a total success!! :cheer2:

This is excellent news!! Means things are progressing really well!! :dance3:

I'm happy to report....

Mackie and I are able to go a day ahead after all!!! pixiedust:

We're so excited!!

Mackenzie was not able to go to Portland a couple weeks back, (due to being sick and not able to miss any more school) so the canceled flight to Portland made it to where we could use her canceled flight credit to fly to Orlando a day ahead!! pixiedust: I don't know if you remember, but I said it would be worth it to me if we could fly a day earlier for no more than $50 a person, and that's almost exactly what it came out to be (off by a dollar). :goodvibes

This will truly give us the time we wanted to relax, sleep in a bit and take in the AofA resort like we wanted to. :goodvibes If we left on Monday we'd be hitting the groud running as soon as we got there and wouldn't have a down day until several days into the trip. :faint:
AND! Since the flight falls on a Sunday she won't miss any more school than already planned. :cool1:
So! The plans will be to fly in on Sunday, check into the POP for the one night (yes, this makes four resorts for those who are counting ), check in, swim, maybe go to Beaches and Cream for dinner (how in the world would we get there?!? :confused3) and then hit the hay at a decent time. We'll actually have a chance to sleep in on a Disney vacation!! Who'd have thunk it?!?
Have breakfast at Everything Pop or what ever I bring in the suitcase with us and then mosey on over to the AofA by way of the bridge, get checked in and have a day at the resort to take it all in, swim with Nemo and friends :fish:, and if we get too bored (yeaaa right ) <once we're settled in our room>, we'll have to find our way over to DTD to get our shop on and have us some early dinner. Then, hit the hay early again!
Nothing like starting off your trip on a rested note!! ::yes::
Of course the next day will be our first park day, which y'all already know. :goodvibes

I also found a few more cute tops at Old Navy the other day, if I think of it this week I'll be sure to take some pictures and post them. Nothing fancy, just some little cotton tops and some shorts for Mackie. :)

Oh, and I'm also wanting to do a photopass on this trip, I know NOTHING about it. Anyone want to fill me in? Also, how do you share it with others who want to go in on it?

How lovely that you can go a day ahead! For our next vacation, I am debating adding an eighth day on, and it's amazing how one more day just makes everything so much more relaxed! Gives you time to do the things that would fall by the wayside on a shorter trip.

Can I be totally decadent and say that if you want to go to Beaches and Cream you could always cab it from your resort there? I know, I know. The budget minded woman I normally am is screaming what???? But sometimes it's worth it to indulge a little, and I know Disney transport is free, but sometimes it takes soooooo long to do the take a bus to downtown or a park to get to another resort thing. Just let my suggestion sit in the back of your mind.

As far as photopass shares go, I'm pretty sure they're illegal on the DIS now. However, I think I've seen you around some of the FB groups...are we friends yet? If not we should be. Anyway, ask your question again there. :goodvibes

As far as how it works, you get a photopass card, and anywhere there's a photopass photographer, you hand over your card, they take photos for you. It's nice because then you get to be in them. Most of the time, I will do a photopass card, but if it is a photo really important to me, I will also hand over my camera, either to the photographer or a CM (if it's a character meet and greet) and ask if they will take a picture with mine as well. They are always very nice about it, and sometimes, the picture on my camera comes out better.

I like doing it when I go with family because then I get photos of the four of us together, and that's a rarity...actually, I think the only time that happens is when we're on vacation, so it's pretty awesome. And nowadays, those photographers are everywhere!

I just LOVE your dress story! Like I said on the phone, what a good clerk to help save you all that money!

To get to Beaches & Cream from Pop it's a bit tricky. Cabbing it, like Kat suggested, is the easiest. But otherwise take any bus EXCEPT Epcot, then transfer to the Beach Club bus. If you end up at DHS, you have to take the boat or walk. Which might be very enjoyable actually, considering you don't have a tight agenda.

For PhotoPass shares, one person "owns" it, everyone pays him/her. Then the owner will give you a login to an account that everyone uses. Don't make your own account, don't upload your pictures ANYWHERE else but that shared account. From there, after everyone in the share has their pictures uploaded, the owner orders it and then distributes the copies. (Other people in the share will likely see your pictures, and you will see theirs. Just wanted to throw that in, in case you are concerned about privacy with the pictures). :goodvibes

Yay for going a day early! :dance3: Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better about things too :grouphug:

I love photopass, because I am usually the one behind the camera. It's nice to have some photos with me in them too. I'm actually really missing it at Paris, we could have got some great family photos. I've never heard of sharing it though.

The other option other than the taxi that TarzansKat suggested is to take a bus to Epcot and go out via the International Gateway and take the boat to the Beach Club.

I'm glad your spirits are up a little. Glad to see that upside down frown is now a smile. :)

I am here, really I am .

POP to DHS is a really quick ride and then walk or boat it to B&C.

Cab it home if you want to cab it.

You may need to review all four resorts since I have no idea where you are when except POP then AoA. :rotfl2:

I have been so busy lately that I am looking forward to this vacation so I recharge. It is way too short and smacked in between a couple of really busy weeks.
I may end up spending the whole time sleeping.... :lmao:

Yeaaaah, I actually have a day to myself today!! I can actually take the time to sit and answer back to fellow Dis sisters and brothers.
Yes! I'm thrilled to add another day!!! It is silly, crazy how one more day can truly make a huge difference to a trip! You should totally add another day on your next trip!! ::yes::

Can I be totally decadent and say that if you want to go to Beaches and Cream you could always cab it from your resort there? I know, I know. I will certainly give it some thought, and you are right about the money because that was my reaction at first too (when I thought about it myself :rotfl:)

As far as photopass shares go, I'm pretty sure they're illegal on the DIS now. However, I think I've seen you around some of the FB groups...are we friends yet? If not we should be. Anyway, ask your question again there.

Oh! I had no idea! :rotfl:  Oops! We aren't friends on FB, we certainly need to be. I'll PM you.

I like doing it when I go with family because then I get photos of the four of us together, and that's a rarity...actually, I think the only time that happens is when we're on vacation, so it's pretty awesome. And nowadays, those photographers are everywhere!

This was my thought behind it too, for so long I've not allowed my pictures taken much and now I want to make up for lost time, especially for my kids. I want them to have some pictures of their mother to look back on some day. I just didn't want all the pressure to be on Mackie to take pics of me. Although, Mary said she would help me out when she's there, I'm sure Pat will too. I'll love having pics of Mackie and I together. Sooo many things I've allowed myself to miss out on because of the weight. Enough of that!

I just LOVE your dress story! Like I said on the phone, what a good clerk to help save you all that money!

I know, right!?! And only in Texas will you hear the sales lady callin you Darlin. :rotfl2:

If you end up at DHS, you have to take the boat or walk. Which might be very enjoyable actually, considering you don't have a tight agenda.

Nope! No tight agenda, just getting there, get into our room and then wing it from there. :goodvibes Mackie is saying now that she may want to go over to AofA as soon as we get into the POP, she wants that to be our first real experience when we get on property. Could have blown me over, she almost never get's in on the planning, no matter how much I try to drag and pull her in on it! :rotfl: But she had very definite opinions on this matter. Hey, who am I to argue! My baby had opinion about what she wants to do, we're doing it! I'm sure she'll want to gallivant plenty later on, and that's just fine with me!

Thank you, Brook. I'm still thinking on this, but I'll let you know.

Yay for going a day early! Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better about things too.

I know!!! An extra day, an extra day!! Thank you Lana, say...how did your trip go?!? Did you have a great time, how did your run go?!?

I love photopass, because I am usually the one behind the camera. It's nice to have some photos with me in them too. I'm actually really missing it at Paris, we could have got some great family photos. I've never heard of sharing it though.

I'm right there with ya. I'm usually the one behind the camera at almost all times, makes for a lot of pressure to get a lot of great pics and you're never in them, in the past I was fine with that. I'm not so much now. :goodvibes

The other option other than the taxi that TarzansKat suggested is to take a bus to Epcot and go out via the International Gateway and take the boat to the Beach Club.

I'm glad your spirits are up a little. Glad to see that upside down frown is now a smile.

Thank you Ms. Kat. My pity party for one is over. :goodvibesThe only issue would be not going into the parks yet, we aren't going into the parks the first two nights of the trip. We have to find another way around, taxi was our first thought too, but I think we might go to another park like Pat suggests below and Brook suggested above, then take the boat over. We've never done that before, it would be a fun experience. :goodvibes

I am here, really I am .

I know you are, sweetie. I haven't heard hide or hair of you so I know you are super busy. No worries, get here when you can. :)

POP to DHS is a really quick ride and then walk or boat it to B&C.

This sounds like the best option, and maybe a cab ride back to the POP. :confused3 We'll see what Mackie really wants to do, we may get right on over to AofA after checking into the POP and then may not leave until she wants to go back to the room. She saw the gelato they have at Landscapes of Flavor, B&C could be out! Anything could happen! :)

You may need to review all four resorts since I have no idea where you are when except POP then AoA. :rotfl2:

I know, right! We're at POP, AofA-two nights, CSR-7nights, and then POR-last two nights in the royal rooms. :yay: and :faint:

I have been so busy lately that I am looking forward to this vacation so I recharge. It is way too short and smacked in between a couple of really busy weeks.
I may end up spending the whole time sleeping.... :lmao:

Oh no you don't!! We three have things to do!! :dance3: I'm sure there will be some mornings when you'll want to sleep in, no worries you'll know where we are and where to catch up with us.

Yeah for an extra day! We need to compare schedules one day once I actually figure mine out. Lol. I honestly can't even remember my ADR's. Such a bad Disney planner I am. I do know that I will not be going to any hockey games that week. I will probably have hockey withdrawal.

We're so excited to have an extra day. :goodvibes
And I know just what you mean about not remembering our ADR's! Just last night I had to look up the confirmations Brook sent me of our ADR's so I could remind myself what I had.
Having someone else handle all this has been wonderful, but it has me forgetting some of what I've planned, I'm not keeping it all in my head like I usually do. :rotfl:
Something about stressing and calling in to get your ADR's seems to burn them into your brain! :rotfl:

And yes, we do need to compare schedules! I'll PM you. :)

You get those pictures taken, my love! You're beautiful and deserve to be seen!

And believe me, your family will appreciate the memories. :goodvibes

It's official people!! The panic of realizing your trip isn't far off.....is setting in!!
pbfainting_zpsb8734ada.gif

Aaaaaah!!

I realized today I basically have two months to get my poop in a group when it comes to everything I need for this trip. (yes I realize most people don't do the "I'm Going To Disney Panic" until the week or two before the trip)
Yes, you read right, I said poop.
dancingbananawithpooppicket.gif

And what I said after that is exactly what you think I said.

:rotfl:
I told you, I'm not without my moments, just like any one else. :teeth:

So, I'm down to making my lists, did I tell you I like to make lists? Well, I don't like them persay, but rather I live by them. Once I had my second child most of my brain went out the window. Mom's, you know what I'm talking about. :upsidedow I usually have them everywhere as reminders....

On my calendar...

On my wall...

20130302_151518_zps6eb5dfcc.jpg

Sometimes I'll have a few of these on the wall at one time.

On my fridge...

20130302_151358_zps0af4640e.jpg

Oh my! Some of the things on that list! ;) Can't tell I like Disney or anything, can you? And yes, that is what my fridge looks like all the time. A big Disney mess!

In my car....

20130302_151647_zps2c7f39cb.jpg

These are usually Ortho appts., but a good reminder place.

Even for Disney...

20130302_153352_zps38580731.jpg

Did you see that?!? I have lists on top of other lists!

So as you can see, I'm a list makin fool.

The week or two before the trip I will start the packing list. I make the initial list of things I can think of right off the top of my head and then leave it sitting out.
As I think of something, I run to the list and put it down. This way I'm more likely not to forget anything! Clever, even if I do say so myself. :3dglasses

Well, I think I best be off! Mackenzie has contest again this weekend, John and I are about to head on over to the high school to watch her dance. Poor baby only has one dance because of her broken toe a while back, the teacher thought the other dances would be too much since she was basically released to dance just a few weeks before contest season started. :worried: (she has to be there aaaall day-from 7:30 a.m. until about 9 p.m. :faint:)
She's looks great out there though! And believe it or not, there is one other girl who is taller than she is, Mackie is standing about 5'10 now. Yeaaah, I know.

Have a truly blessed weekend and much love to you all. I wouldn't have gotten through these last two weeks without you. :lovestruc :grouphug:

You get those pictures taken, my love! You're beautiful and deserve to be seen!

And believe me, your family will appreciate the memories. :goodvibes

 Awww.
I'm hoping I'll have lots of pics to share when I get back! :yay:
I'm still trying to decide if I'll reveal any before trip pics of myself. :scratchin There's a wonderful appeal (in my head) about standing in front of the castle with my more trim body as the reveal pic, this way you'll get to see me in my before pictures standing there too.
I'll probably FB a few trip pics!! :goodvibes Sorry, Glenn. :guilty:
Maybe TK can post a couple from FB to here while I'm gone! :flower3:

I love your lists, Camille. I have them on my fridge, on the calendar on the fridge (used to have two calendars on the fridge--an "ours" and a kids for their sports schedules. I have notes taped on my kitchen cabinets, on my dresser, in the car. I think it is a way of life when things can be so very busy.

Hope dance went well today.

I'd be tempted to do the big reveal after too. It's like a big hooray for all the work you've done!

And I'd be happy to post here while you're gone, just let me know.

You are list makin' fool! :lmao: Now I like a good list, and my mother did too, but I think you've got us both beat! They're everywhere! They multiply! :rotfl2:

Thank you Ms. Kat. Sounds like your lists put mine to shame! I'm impressed!
I'm actually getting better about remembering things here of late, I realized in the last couple of months my memory was all of a sudden getting a lot better. ::yes:: Had no idea why until I was reading that the Lecithin supplement I'm taking helps with brain power. Who knew?!? :confused3 I was taking it to help break down and rid my body of fat more efficiently (as I work out--that's the key to it's use). Mackenzie's dance contest went well, after two weekends of it she's really over it though. I thought it was pretty cool they had a big dance jam while the judges tallied their team dance points. The girls had a great time just free form dancing, great stress relief. It was pretty neat to see several hundred girls on the gym dance floor doing dance routines they all knew. I guess that's the new thing now, certain songs have a certain dance to them? :confused3

I'd be tempted to do the big reveal after too. It's like a big hooray for all the work you've done!

Will do! :) Thank you! :goodvibes

I am getting better about having so many up, but I still put them up just incase. As I told Ms. Kat ^ above, my memory is getting better since I started taking lecithin, it's amazing!! I walk into a room and I remember why I'm in there in like 30 seconds or less vs. the full minute I could take, or not at all. That was until I walked back into the room I was in originally that gave me the thought to be me in the room where I forgot why I was there. :worried: Did you get all that?!? :rotfl:

Hi Camille, sorry I haven't checked in for a long time. That's wonderful that you get to go a day ahead of planned! 4 resorts, you'll be a pro at it. Beaches and Cream sounds yummy. Have a grilled cheese for me.
