I probably shouldn't post this, because it will just cause the price to go up when more people want to do it, but here goes.

We did the ultimate vip tour-thrills, last week. It is pretty cool. You need to have a park hopper ticket. The price is $299 per person, for the tour. But, it is a heck of a tour.

You meet at 830am, at tomorrowland terrace café. There are two tours I think, one is family, one is thrills. Both tours looked like they had about 20 people. Each group was divided into groups of 10, so they were not trying for the same attraction at the same time.

At the café, they take your order for lunch (for lunch at the Brown Derby), and they had breakfast bars, water and juice. You divide up into your group and you are off with two guides. We hit MK first, and were walked onto the following attractions (walked on as in walked into the fast pass line, together--and they do modify the sequence of the rides so you don't have a 30 minute fast pass wait. (I don't remember our specific sequence) So, we hit the Seven Dwarfs mine train, pirates, haunted mansion, splash mountain, thunder mountain, and space mountain. Then, we walked out the back to waiting vans, where we were driven over to the back of Studios. We had lunch in the middle of our time at Brown Derby, (where it looked like all on both the thrills and family met up for lunch). But at studios, we did rock n roller, tower, star wars, toy story. Then we went back out the back, got back in the van, had waters provided, cold towels provided, etc., and headed to animal kingdom. Went in the back way, saw the back of Everest, back of the savannahs, etc. did dinosaur and Everest, and then had the option to stay at animal kingdom, or the van could take you to the transportation center or back to magic kingdom where you would go back into the park through the back entrance and not have to deal with security etc again. On the way out of animal kingdom, we drove through the new avatar land, and saw what was being built, told of what the themes for the attractions were going to be, what they expected them to be like, etc. The van dropped us off at the GF about 345pm, but our boys went on to the magic kingdom for the rest of the night.

would I do it again--absolutely. Would I do it at the start of the trip--no, because I think you would compare wait times to the tour. But, certainly at the end of the trip. But, as a one time per trip deal or maybe one every other trip deal, yes, I would do it in a heartbeat.

We did the Family VIP tour last year and had a similarly excellent experience! We did ours on our last full park day and your observation is spot on... I think end of trip rather than beginning is a good plan. I can imagine things would seem rather anti-climatic after. I can't wait to do the ultimate thrills tour, but waiting on my 8 year old to get a little braver with the rides so we can take full advantage.

Glad you enjoyed it!

Sounds like a pretty cool tour. But there's really a pretty limited demographic that can or will pay $299 plus the cost of a park hopper for each family member.

Sounds like a great day for those who can spring for it!
